If you want to assume there's only one person in the entire world named Sabo, and that Luffy would even care enough to pay attention to the Revolutionary Army in the first place, sure.

Are you drunk? First off Sabo almost certainly has a bounty with his picture on it like everyone else. Like I just said Don's people recognized him. Next, my original question was if everyone but Luffy knew Sabo was alive. Your second point makes absolutely no sense as a response to me.

I can buy Luffy not knowing.

    What's Ace's excuse?

That's a cool assumption you've got there, bro.

And from that you assumed that everyone would be able to. You don't see anything wrong with that?

Obviously not, that's a stupid question.

Ah, but Don is the King of the criminal underground with connections to everyone and the World Government, him knowing things is by no means strange nor does it suggest that the normal populace knows of those things.

Both Ace and Luffy thought that he was dead and had no reason to believe otherwise. so even if they heard of a Sabo in the Revolutionary army they wouldn´t have connected that to their childhood friend. For the rest of the crew, the only knowledge they had about him was that he was a dead friend of Luffy.

Do you think the WG only puts out bounties on pirates? I don't see the WG putting out a bounty on one of their more important enemies as a stretch.

It shows that he's known to the world and that he wasn't hiding in a cave.

Yet all you've done is give stupid reasons for it not being likely.
And the World Government is the World Government with connections to places all around the world.

I don't think Luffy even knew his father's name and position in the world until Garp told him on Water 7. I also think he had to be told about Ace, Shanks, and Silvers so it's established that he doesn't keep up with current events and is largely ignorant of things in the world. Him not knowing about Sabo being alive until he runs into him makes sense. I don't recall Ace saying anything recently that implies he thought Sabo was dead. He had the tattoo back when he was trying to kill WB and could have learned after that.

Ace could have known about Sabo but just never met him or Sabo avoided him for some reason.

I'm sure this is something Oda recognizes and will address.

I mean it's been 2 years since Ace's death, it's entirely possible that Sabo really only came into prominence in the Revolitionaries in the last two years. Unless I'm missing something I don't think we know when Sabo took the position of chief of staff or when he got a bounty.

What I do want to know is why he wasn't trying to save Ace during his execution. Maybe he was to far away to get there on time but after this fight id like some explanation on that.

Also new chapter is up! Sabo being a badass!!

That was a pretty badass scene, Sabo holding back an Admiral and a couple of Vice Admirals. The sort of impressive visual that got me hooked in the first place.

I was amused/impressed that his weapon is still just a simple pipe, same as when he was a kid in the flashback.

Man, I really hope Luffy's not about to lose another brother.
These three have a terrible track record when it comes to Admirals.

To be fair, the list of people who don't have a terrible track record against Admirals is literally three people long. One of those people is dead, the second is retired, and the third was filler.

I'd put Shanks on it since he stopped the war like he did.

Fixed that. Shanks didn't show up alone, and unlike most of the world-class pirates we've seen, Shanks seems to structure his crew like Luffy does. Instead of hundreds or thousands of pirates, he's got less than a dozen.

Which implies that everyone else on his crew is, if not as strong as he is, then at least hitting in the same general ballpark.

One of the Yonko didn't stop the war. One of the Yonko and about eight other people who could potentially qualify as Yonko if the current four dropped dead stopped the war.

There had already been too much fighting and too much death, and Shanks showed up with about as much firepower as it's possible to have crammed onto a single boat in a world of people with superpowers.

One-to-one, the Admirals may have had Shanks and his crew dead to rights, but it wasn't one-to-one. They were outnumbered by at least double. And the Whitebeard pirates and all of their allies were still on the field to back them up.

It would have been interesting to see what might have happened if the Navy didn't agree to step off. If somebody like Akinu had forced them to push on with the fighting, Marineford probably would have fallen.

I think you're underestimating Shanks quite a bit. Whitebeard may have been the strongest man in the world, but even if Shanks wasn't just as strong, he is surely in the same league.

I thought it was pretty clear that a Yonko can take out an Admiral one on one. Shanks is no exception to this.

Perhaps but my point stands. They stood up to admirals and walked away just fine.

I'd say that Yonko strength varies just like most other organizations. BB ended up taking WB's spot and he ran away from Akainu. I'd say that Yonko league probably overlaps with Admrial league. WB may have had the upper hand against Akainu but he took some serious damage in that fight. Akainu even tanked that attack that split the island in half and wasn't finished for the day.

Are you kidding? WB basically tanked the entire marine forces by himself for ages. A one on one fight between WB and Akainu with WB fresh (even if he's 70) would end up with nothing short of WB's victory.
