It's not exactly a slice of life anime (it's mostly about fishing and an alien), but I'll just paste what I wrote about Tsuritama from earlier in the thread:

Best anime I've seen in ages.

Also made me want to become vegetarian more than anything anyone who practises it could ever say.

    Pork Bowl! T_T

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with Persona 3, but I just watched the first movie Spring of Birth and it was fantastic. From what I gathered, they are splitting the entire Persona 3 storyline into 4 movies. The second movie is already out in Japan, though I don't think it can be found online yet.

I platinumed P4G this week. People keep saying good things about 3, but I'm struggling to play it...

    A) The MC doesn't look as cool
    B) No Trophies!
    C) No Nana-chan
    D) most important of all, NO CHIE! though that red head looks kinda hot... She ain't Chie.

I don't know why you posted that in the anime thread instead of a video games thread, but in any case

Keep playing. It's not as good as Persona 4, but Persona 3 is still a very good game.

The 'game' in P4G is ancillary. It's all about the story. I'd imagine watching the P4 movie / anime would be equally as enjoyable.

If it followed the Chie path, which I suspect it wouldn't.

It's...very much a video game. It's a very anime video game, but it's still a video game.

Tokyo Ghoul seems pretty fascinating as well. I'm waiting for the reveal about Hide, he clearly has more to him than what's apparent.

Zankyou no Terror is baller. Watanabe spins straw into gold. Best anime of season by far.

    Watch it.

There should be 8 right now. Whatever site you're using is out of date

Zankyou no Terror fell kind of flat for me this season. I'm still watching it weekly, but it's the kind of show I probably would have dropped, if I tried to watch it all at once.

Why do you like it so much Khan?

I watched the first episode and was mildly interested, but I didn't feel the desire to watch the next episodes.

The sleek style, killer music, and intriguing chars.

I generally don't watch anything unless it has a semblance of seriousness to it, so this show is right down my alley.

Should be 10 actually, as of Thursday. I watched the first episode, but because I'm too lazy to hunt down illegal streams/torrents and I do most of my watching on Crunchyroll, I kinda forgot about it. First ep was pretty good, but from what I've read, it's kinda fallen flat in the last 2-3 episodes after starting out so well.

    I have been watching:

Aldnoah.Zero is fairly generic, but satisfying. Not quite a big a bloodbath as I was expecting given Urubochi's reputation, but it's pretty and has good music, and the story is at least keeping me interested.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun is excellent. I didn't start out watching it, but saw a ton of praise for it by the middle of the season and marathoned the first 6 episodes in an evening. I'd describe it as a romantic comedy, heavy on the comedy, light on the romance. The gags are hilarious, and the characters are really well done. Currently my AOTS unless it totally blows up or one of the other shows comes out of nowhere.

Akame ga Kill lives up to the manga, so if you enjoyed reading it (like me) you'll enjoy watching it. It's nothing groundbreaking, but (some of) the characters are a refreshing break from the standard black and white shounen archetypes. It's been getting a lot of hate (a la Attack on Titan and SAO) due to the amount of HYPE!!!1!!1111! it had, but it's not that bad.

SAO II is SAO II. It's without a doubt better than the first two arcs, but again, nothing groundbreaking. Pointless fanservice abounds (do we really need a shot of Sinon's ass every other scene?), but they've started to delve into some more mature themes like PTSD. Another one where I've read the source material, so no surprises. It's following the LNs pretty closely.

Everything else I'm watching is continuing from past seasons.

    Hmm. Tastes differ, I suppose.

There was no episode the Thursday before last, so this Thursday will be episode 9.

Wait so the 9th out of eleven episodes of a show about terrorism is airing on 9/11?
