Hoster's POV was my favorite, bittersweet and tired, I could feel that

Great update, gives us some great insight on the characters, on a side note, what your opinion on the meta gaming?

Robb's POV just gives me the sensation of an imminent demise approaching. Fitting, I suppose, in some way that Robb might yet again die while still very much young.

After all this talk of quests I was thinking about how cool a quest as Daemon Blackfyre would be; but seeing as I haven't seen a quest like that do you guys know of any good stories featuring him or at least are set during the first Blackfyre Rebellion?

You know, I still don't get it - Jon's existence poses a threat if the deception is uncovered, yes, but how is his being at Winterfell any more dangerous than being somewhere else?

Part of it is about attachment.

Fostering Jon with one of Ned's vassals creates emotional distance between him and his cousins. Should the secret be revealed, the chances of her children throwing themselves onto the pyre to save him become that much smaller.

At the same time, it keeps Jon both out of sight and out of mind, which is all the more important because Rhaenys exists as a standard of measurement.

Far Away has updated, but its only a 1,800 word chapter. Just a fair warning: the link is to the newest chapter so don't click on it unless you've read the first seven chapters.

He claims that the name Snow denotes a Stark bastard instead of a bastard from the North. Tempted to drop it for that.

Ned's been rather busy then, and to think Catelyn complained of Jon. Imagine all the Snows flocking to Winterfell. Also, 1800 words.. better not to have updated at all.

Anyhoo, The Open Way updated with two chapters a while ago:

    History Repeats

    Brightflame

This story is so fucking odd. In one chapter, the pacing is just speeding through events, in another, it's all calm and nothing is happening and you're starting to wonder why you're even reading this fic to begin with.

The way I read it was that JonCon knew that Snow meant he was a northern bastard and then saw that Jon looked a helluva lot like Ned so he correctly assumed Jon was Ned's bastard.

Yeah, I didn't read it at all as "All Snows=Stark." Did you skip the Interlude chapter, right before? Because it ends with Jon Connington clearly stating that he has Ned Stark's eyes.

And On Your Head a Crown updated. The 5k words for this chapter are really just to set up future chapters so it was not exactly riveting stuff. You learn a little bit about the war effort. But, other than that a whole lot of nothing happened in this chapter. And I'm not sure if it was just me or not but the writing of this chapter felt a lot shoddier than previous chapters.

Robb's characterization was waaay off. Since when did he give a shit about the Iron Throne?

Yeah, there is a lot that I disagree with when it comes to that story especially certain aspects about Robb's characterization. This story is really only good if someone is looking for a Robb story where he most likely will win the war/ someone is looking for a Robb/Margaery story.

But, I'd assume that he wants the Iron Throne because the Tyrell's want it, which kind of makes sense considering they brought a huge ass army to Robb's war effort. It's just odd that he would even care about the Iron Throne despite that because it completely detracts from his reason for going to war in the first place.
