    I dunno what you mean.

How is a gigantic furry monster creature that eats peoples belief and faith in anyway similar to a gigantic non-furry monster that eats peoples minds?

Oh! I know. The similarities is that both places where they are trapped!

I do not know what's blander: the Bank Episode, or the general direction the show has gone.

Moffat strikes the occasional storyline-gem, but on the whole they're pretty weak.

This episode worked for me more than the others this season. Before, the gulf between what Capaldi can do and the rest of the show was almost tangible. This episode was more in Moffat's wheelhouse, it wasn't original but it was a story he was capable of telling.

I think the show would be better with a different showrunner but more episodes like this probably will conceal the need for it.

Well, we have the potential Peter Jackson episode to look forward to, don't we?

I liked this episode, I think it actually pulled off the timey-wimey part of the plot (unlike Listen,) have to be honest thought it was gonna be bad from the trailer so was pleasantly surprised.

So, no one is going to point out the paradox?

The Doctor got a call from Karabraxos because he had already given her the number, etc etc.

Or, to be specific the series of events.

    1. The Doctor gets a call from her.
    2. He sets up the heist.
    3. The heist happens.
    4. He gives her his number at the end.

    1. only happens because 4. had happened, which requires 1. to happen, etc etc.

Eh. It is a paradox, but it's a pretty common one, especially in Doctor Who - especially under Moffat (see the Pandorica, for instance).

Ah, right. I see now. I think. Damn time travel can get confusing.

By giving Karabraxos his number The Doctor creates the reason for being there in the first place.

Thats not a paradox, is it? I thought a paradox required a negative, in that if you went back in time to kill your granddad, you then never could have done so. The Karabraxus example is a loop, rather than a paradox in this instance.

Specially in Who, with its soft science and all.

Also, I think this is how Missy got his phone number, and passed it on to Clara if she is the one who did so. Karabraxus isn't exactly a trustworthy figure, like perhaps the other people Doctor might have given his number to.

This episode was okay. I enjoyed Danny Pink and the talk of space dads... but apart from that it was uninspiring. I think a really big problem with the show right now is that they're still writing for Matt Smith's Doctor and Capaldi's portrayal is just a totally different animal.

SOOOO this nights episode just turned out to be all over the place, huh? The writing was poor, but the acting, especially Capaldi, was good.
