The first kanji of the names of the food menu in the background spell out that message.

Also the characters in the cover page are Nami Ruffy and Tony Chopper.

Also did we just get an explanation as to why DD's jolly roger is a crossed out smile while Law's isn't.

Oh. My. GOD. Them feels. Such an amazing chapter.

God damnit i felt shivers reading this chapter when Cora told Law he loved him and was trying to reassure him that Doffy wouldn't kill him. This was just an absolute amazing wrap-up to Corazon's life. To the very end, gave it his all so Law wouldn't be found in that chest.

And Oda even managed to tie in X-Drake's backstory and we see how he ended up joining the marines too. To think he was a bit of a coward, its crazy but he was already strong even as a kid according to that one pirate.

Also, crazy that Doflamingo apparently unlocked Conqueror's Haki as a little kid. Man..i'm just wondering what's going to happen next. How is Law going to get away from the middle of all this? It's just a clusterfuck right now. I wonder if Oda will show us a short timeskip of Law gathering his crew together and learning how to use the Ope Ope no Mi or if we'll cut back to present.

As good as the "Law in the chest" scene was, here, I'm trying to imagine what it's going to look like in the anime, and all I can think is that it's going to be incredibly brutal to watch. Like Bink's Sake, I think the audio is going to add a hell of a lot, and if they do it right it's probably going to hurt like Bink's Sake as well.

Given how bad the anime has been, i wouldn't get your hopes up. Keep them low and it'll be bearable to watch is my advice. Cause i was so looking forward to what they'd do with the tournament and...man what a letdown.

Sometimes I wish Toei would die, just so One Piece could get picked up by a good studio.

Man, you know how fucking pumped i would be if One Piece got picked up by Mad House studios? They're the ones who animated HunterxHunter 2011.

I can't remember a single bad animated episode of HunterxHunter that was bad because of Mad House. Even after they pushed the timetable of HunterxHunter to a later one which usually signifies less budget for an anime, they were still killing it with superb animation and pacing and everything.

That chapter was a prime example of why there are no good fanfics of One Piece. How do you make something like this better? The facial expression of Corazon as he said he loved Law was genius and genuinely funny, because he knew how awkward it felt to say respectively to hear so he tried to lighten it up but you always knew that he truly meant it. Then he gets brutally executed by his own brother.

Said brother, who his rapidly catching up to Crocodile in terms of villainous badass.

That and the general lack on knowledge of the world. It takes a very creative person to make unique environments continuously.

Once we know more about devil fruits and Will of the D, there will be a tide of one piece fanfics.

I think most of us got into Harry Potter/Naruto fanfiction because we were dissatisfied by cannon. At least that is how I got into it. This is not the case here.

    Chapter is out.

I don't. He acknowledges that he's been following the wrong person his whole life. He didn't even have a good reason for wanting to be in Doflamingo's crew like Doflamingo saved his life or something. Word around North Blue was Doflamingo's crew was the real deal and he was bored being a rich kid in the affluent part of town so he wanted to join Doflamingo's crew.

When his reason for joining Doflamingo's crew is weak and he acknowledges that he admired the wrong guy, yet he still says he's gonna help the person who effectively treats him no better than trash and actually sent someone to kill him...that kinda makes me have no feels for him.

And i get where he's coming from. He doesn't want all the years he's spent in devout servitude to Doflamingo to go to waste by turning his back on Doflamingo. He wants to die (by Luffy's hands) with his pride that he was loyal in tact. But still...you have to draw a line. And Bellamy seemingly has no line.

I didn't mean that I started to like him. I'm far from joining the small group of fans who were hoping he'd join the Straw Hat crew. But with his statement of this being his final fight, join me... I finally felt something for the character. Until this latest chapter I never got past seeing him as a two-bit villain with a partial change of heart who got on my nerves more than engendering any other emotion.

I hate the weeks after Oda gets back from a break. Usually is almost always a slower chapter than normal and this was definitely one of them. Though I guess at least we got the beginning of the end with Mach Vise being taken out this chapter and that epic one liner from Zoro at the end.

Updates Resumed last week, and we're well into the cleanup phase of the arc. Sephiroso's concerns were unnecessary, because Zoro just had his epic fight of the arc to its conclusion.

Now all we got left is Luffy fighting Doflamingo, and that's gonna be even better.

I wouldn't really call Zoro vs Pica an epic fight. It was more like tag, you're dead. And Zoro was it. That fight was going on way to long for the way it ended. I liked the way Zoro ended it, but still a sour taste in my mouth for how long he was forced to chase after Pica and he(zoro) wasn't even once remotely in danger of getting hurt. Pica didn't even touch him.

In all honesty, this arc is disappointing. I was expecting Doflamingo's family members to be strong, but this is just another fucking Fishman Island warmup arc which is pathetic. We already had an arc that showcased the Strawhats growth by making them curbstomp the Fishmen dudes. This arc was supposed to be about the Strawhats being pushed to their limits but sadly it isn't happening.

The only Strawhats who were being pushed are the weaker ones like Usopp, Nami and Franky. Robin didn't even get to fight and only got hurt because she was protecting Rebecca. Zoro proved he has more running endurance than Usain Bolt, but otherwise didn't even break a sweat "fighting" Pica.

And Doflamingo has been playing keep away with Luffy this entire time like he's afraid to fight him head on.

If you think Doflamingo will do anything except tear Luffy apart (even if Luffy wins in the end) then I wonder if we've been reading the same thing.
