I thought he wrote Tsunade relatively well. Ino was just a filler character she did her job on team 10 and that's all that was required of her in the story.

 

Agreed. But I look at Tsunade as more of an exception than the rule.

 

Tsunade was really the only women that was important to the story so she was written out fully. I can't help thinking that these complaints about Ino or Sakura not being written well are more because people are disappointed that they didn't have a larger role in the story.

 

I liked Temari and Konan, as well.


Edit: Nope, you're wrong. I'm pretty sure people dislike them because their uselessness was only surpassed by their fangirl status.

 

Did you just say Tsunade was a more important character than Sakura? Well I'd have to disagree there. Personally I didn't have a problem with the size of Sakura's role its her treatment I hated. I found it highly unrealistic for her to still be in love with Sasuke after everything he put her through. Now most would blame Sakura here, I choose to blame Kishi because of how badly he wrote her character. It was just poor writing on his part.

That is exactly what I have been trying to say. The cool female characters don't have enough screen time and his treatment of the female lead is downright atrocious.

I have my doubts that Kishimoto Masashi has ever actually talked to a woman.

 

Daphne is a complete non-entity in the books, Ino has at least some page-time.

I doubt that. Bleach, One Piece, hell even HSDK for all its blatant fanservicing have more fleshed out and better female characters than Naruto.

 

Pretty amazing then that he seems to think women are some kind of different species that fall into love and never out of it. Oh, and with whom crushes formed purely on physical attraction as a child are love. It's like a binary state or some shit.

 

I think judging a person based on the work he does is silly. Certainly, a person can't help but project himself on his work, but there are too many factors that decide how the final product comes out for you to say that something he makes is the sole result of his personal views on a matter.

 

On the other hand judging one by their work is probably the fairest way to judge them.

 

No idea, how he is in RL. May be shoddy writing or a genre thing. Depiction ain't equal to endorsement or embracement.

 

No? Writers write what they feel they have to to achieve something. In no way does this necessitate that they share these beliefs.

 

I'm looking for a fic that could possibly be deleted but instead of Kurama being sealed into Naruto (or his sister) there was actually a mystery as to what even happened the night of the sealing.

Minato and Kushina are alive, Naruto gets placed on Itachi's team with Anko (I think?).

Later on the during Orochimaru's invasion the fic turns to shit because the author was afraid of abandoning the story and decides to rush the ending by throwing in every movie and filler villain into the invasion.

Sorry but there's not much I can say without spoiling, but the author takes the Naruto has a sister and gets disowned trope and actually turns it into a serious story.

 

I don't care about his beliefs. I just think he is a bad writer.
