Snape did redeem himself, by dying. But I understand what you mean most of the redeem Snape fics are so that the people can justify him joining the Death Eaters because of Marauder and family abuse.

I don't mind a redeemed Snape, but it totally depends how it's done and what you're talking about when you mention redeeming him.

He is, and always will be, a jerk. But there's nothing wrong with redeeming his questionable evilness.

Fics where Snape is Harry's real father. The very idea just disturbs me on far too many levels, and the usual executions (Harry's super-abused by the Dursleys, Snape immediately acts fatherly towards Harry, a potion conveniently kept Harry looking like James until when it's convenient).

There is only one Fic in existence with Snape as Harry's father that I like, and it's a really short oneshot.

This is rediculous on so many levels. I saw the same thing done except Sirius was the father once, I noped out of there.

Very much so. I just had a chapter where I included some lyrics, and I purposely limited them as much as possible, using just what would get the meaning of the song across.

Why they'd fill up half a page, I have no idea.

3-4 lines, ok, sure. But when people copy 3 verses and up - sometimes the whole song - ...come on man, who gonna read dat.

Kills any atmosphere that may have existed.

Well, Narcissa Malfoy at least. Guess Draco's actions when the three were captured might have at least redeemed him a little as well.

Draco wasn't so much redeemed as got away with it.

No, I think there's a tad bit of redemption there, or, at the very least, a placing him as just a pigheaded teenager rather than any type of Death Eater with malice.

Perhaps a smidgen of redemption. Still not enough to make up for his attempts to kill Dumbledore, which almost cost the lives of two students, one teacher. And that's not even mentioning the years he spent bullying those weaker than him and spreading Voldemort's propaganda.

He should have gotten a decade in jail for multiple attempted murders at least, more depending on what's involved in getting the Dark Mark.

I think people tend to forget that Draco was under duress when that happened. While it is terrible what he did. I think people forget he was also trying to protect his parents. Even if they didn't necessarily have anyone to blame but themselves for what happened.

He should've gotten himself French-kissed by a damn dementor. Or a swift kick through the veil, following right after Umbitch and his dad.

He was parroting his parents words. Being an ass hole doesn't make you evil. Hell Sirius tried to kill Snape as a prank and I've never really heard anyone say he was an evil person.

Malfoy did a lot more than parrot his parents words. Multiple murder attempts against Dumbledore was bad enough, but for me his crowning achievement was letting a shitload of Deatheaters into the school. Throw his ass at a dementor and be done with it.

As far as Sirius goes, I might agree with you. It depends on if Sirius was actually trying to get Snape killed, or just scaring the everloving shit out of him. At a minimum, Sirius is guilty of a level stupidity so high that it's hard to find words to describe it.

So according to you it's OK what Sirius did as long as he meant it as a joke. And if A mass murderer said do this or your family would die. Your answer is fuck em I'll keep my hands clean. Remember the ministry of magic was just as likely to inform Voldemort of his failure to kill as one of his Slytherin compatriots. Also Dumbledore knew of Voldemort's plan and what Malfoy was planning via Snape he too could have nipped the whole thing at the bud if he had wanted to.
