Agreed. Legend says that Pre-GvG Hunter even bothered trading.

While I'm no fan of hunters you people are really exaggerating. These new iterations are way less burstier and have fewer good match ups than before. I got a 9-3 record against them this month and the games don't drag into fatigue like some priest or paladin games, so that's always a plus.

I don't mind huntards so much since I picked up ramp Druid, but still. Fuck those unfun decks.

Rank 8 and considering making a tryhard effort for higher beyond my 4-5 games per day.

Kezan Mystic is a pretty sweet card as a 1-of if you want to mess with hunters. I've had great results with it since I replaced one of my azure drakes with it.

Republic, have you by any chance attempted mill Druid? I seem to have a good w/l ratio against anything but aggro mage as mill Druid. Against Hunters I win most of the time unless they got a truly terrifying opener (double UT while I don't have early Wrath) or in the unlikely scenario that I don't draw my heals.

Atm rank 5 (almost 4) with about 80% winrate and on top of that it is a real fun deck to play.

    Edit:

Tbh I don't think the issue is with Hunters in particular, but rather the way Blizzard has promoted aggro game style with every expansion. With Naxxramas the addition of UT and various low drop minions made aggro more popular than ever before.

With GvG the addition of Mechwarpers, along with the ability to spam a board full of minions by midgame, which at most times garantueed a win, made it so popular and easy to execute that there was no longer need for long and elaborate games.

In hindsight it is easy to see what Blizzard intention was, namely to promote more board interaction. However the way they executed it made anything but aggro the underdog on the ladder due to the easiness and effectiveness of these decks.

I hate mill druid almost as much as I hate hunters, I'm just less vocal about it because in my experience mill druids tend to 1)be much more rare and 2)fail spectacularly.

Fair enough, though I personally disagree with your point 2, but everyone their own experience I guess. Have you by any chance tried mill mage then? It is much easier to play with and from what I have heard most people tend to find it more consistent as well.

Mill Mage or Fatigue Mage? If I understand it right, those two are different.

I don't have the necessary cards for a Fatigue Mage, unfortunately. Namely, I don't have Echoes.

Cant really play that deck without Alex or echoes, sadly. It looks like fun, if impossible to ladder with. Seen on tourneys and streams, played against it a few times, etc.

The issue with picking up a control deck halfway up the ladder is that they tend to have steep learning curves, so you will lose a bunch of games before you figure out how to win consistently. I remember losing 3-4 ranks in a couple hours the first time I tried to pick up miracle rogue...

Going from a control deck to rush is hard. I must have lost 4 games to not actually counting face damage in my hand and trading instead.

Guys I found an amazing website's that's really good at picking arena cards. It has a client as well as a browser mode. Pretty cool, check it out.

I've been having fun in ranked with this pally deck http://www.hearthhead.com/deck=91849/ikes-pally

It's not as ideal as I'd want due to missing a few useful legendaries (tirion for one), but its fun to play and I win about 80% of my matches with it. Granted, I'm not all that high ranked, but i'd love to hear other peoples opinions of it.

The one you linked is very similar to the deck I run in constructed right now (4 card difference), and I'm perfectly satisfied with it. Bit more taunt can be useful, but it's a solid deck. The biggest drawback is probably the lack of early game / midgame draw - mine used to run Cult Master because of that.

So my opponent just pulled a Fel Reaver from his Unstable Portal.

I had Aldor Peacekeeper and I could play a Piloted Shredder as well. GG.

Ow dayum, Fel reaver reminds me of a handlock that played recombobulator on an injured Belcher. For some reason he decided to play recombobulator as last (aka his last 2 mana). Funny enough I was playing mill druid at the time. I blew out his entire deck in a single turn (20+ cards) and finished his felreaver with a naturalise. He was not amused.
