Referring to sex scenes as lemons

 

I never really understood that. Is it because I'm not a native speaker or because I'm not hip and cool enough?

When people say the blood quill is torture

 

Well it's kind of torture. Forced repeated use that is. It's not exactly high end torture though.

 

You know the Chinese Water Drip torture? They strap you down and drip cold water on your forehead. People break like in hours, without them touching you. Just innocent water droplets falling on your head...

Also, usually when this is done, it's the author forcing the sex scene into the story, which is not even worth reading, since most authors aren't even able to write it very well. It reads like a teenager narrating their non-existent sexual prowess.

 

Those fics serve only as smut fics.

Severe can be interpreted differently by people. However most would probably agree that causing unsanctioned pain in any form is torture regardless.

 

I don't know, making someone write with their own blood for hours seems pretty severe. It's not like a spanking or something.
