Thinking something is a fact doesn't make it so. The only known facts are those that canon tells us. Everything else is speculation. Both your claims of them being facts, or using logic and reasoning to deduce them is ridiculous. All you are doing is adding your own assumptions and then extrapolating facts to arrive at the conclusions that please you.

Every point you have presented here has been discussed, debated, argued over, and in every way dissected somewhere on this forum before. You haven't added a single new point to present your view.

We're not keen on that either. It's why people with thick skulls like yours are a rare phenomenon around here.

But please, stay. You provide lulz and we've been lacking in this particular brand of entertainment since golan and Starfox quieted down.

Each time I see one I have to take a moment to translate them into "ADDU" or "A04". I think I remember gabriel blessing doing it with the Sekirei numbers from In Flight and to me it looks and reads awkwardly.

But yeah, it's getting annoying. I assume like me you're seeing it in With This Ring?

ADW! Misreading what should be a simple acronym or number is a damn pain. And yes, With This Ring is really highlighting that peeve for me. I just skip over them at this point.

This is what came to mind:

Any more than that and it would become tiresome, so I sympathize.

Huh, reading Taure's quote from the books made me remember how funny Ron was, his snark was gold. Shame Grint never got ir, always using facial and such reactions to be funny.

I really like that character, the funny plus the normal-guy vibe really sold him to me. He also has a definite and strong personality and doesn't have much of problem to admit he was an ass when he sees it (even if it takes a loooong time).

Pet Peeve is the complete lack of people trying to make him a good character, bashing or trying to erase him for OCs/Blaise/Whatever whose remarkable personality is "frinds with Harry". Let's not get started on friends with Malfoy.

Most of the Weasley kids in canon were funny -- Ron, Fred, George, Ginny. Bill and Charlie were cool too. Percy as well, albeit unintentionally -- he was so stick-up-the-arse that I couldn't help but find him hilarious.

I always loved the Weasleys in canon, and was very surprised when I started reading fanfiction and saw the ridiculous amount of vitriol directed towards them. Thankfully, it has mellowed out somewhat over the years, but the Weasleys still aren't nearly as important in fanfiction as other characters like Hermione, Sirius and Draco. Finding quality stories with Ron as an important character is much harder than it should be.

A really well done Ron is actually really refreshing and appreciated.

Wait, does this mean that by default horcruxes can repair themselves?

No he just explained that it does not, what Hermione means is that it must be destroyed to the point the enchantments on it cannot repair it. By 'Horcrux' she means the item.

Fanfiction has done its best to piss on the characters of Dumbledore and the Weasleys especially post-DH for the former. So much so that it has coloured even their canon perception in the eyes of many.
So now the 'only' interpretation of their actions in canon is that they're evil/incompetent/manipulative/stupid.
To all the haters I have this to say... get over yourself. HP is a fictional series aimed at kids and young adults. It doesn't really leave the characters of Weasleys and Dumbledore to be open to interpretation. That is to say the only interpretation that matters is that of the author. They are the good guys and that has been reiterated time and again.
So if you come here trying to convince us otherwise you won't find many takers.
    Stick to writing/reading bashing fics.

And the opposite is one of MY biggest pet peeves. Same with the Twins or Luna or Dumbledore or Snape.

Badly done Luna fics make me want to slaughter a litter of newborn Kittens, feed their carcasses to some Puppies, and then burn the Puppies

I just don't think Luna can or should be thoroughly done tbh. Because of that any fic that tries to is badly done.

Is there anything in the books that even provides evidence that the Chief Warlock presides over Wizengamot and it is not just some kind of honorary title?

Would this be a bad time to start writing my Slytherin!Luna fic, The Dark Side of the Moon?

    No, never.

    ---------- Post automerged at 20:12 ---------- Previous post was at 20:10 ----------

It's suggested that the chief Warlock does preside over the Wizengamot in HP5 during Harry's trial (I think he says "It seems since I left it is now customary to hold a full Wizengamot trial for a case of underage magic"), but the Wizengamot is only the MoMs courts. They don't make laws.

Slytherin house would probably eat Luna alive. She was bullied lightly in Ravenclaw for being weird, Slytherins would start hexing her after she ignores their taunts.

Besides, Luna has a lovely original personality. You can make her cunning and scheming and all, but that won't be Luna at all. I don't want to read about a scheming Luna. You can keep Luna as she is, but then there is no point in making her a Slytherin if you don't change her personality at all.

Although if you can pull it off, kudos to you. I have seen well done Slytherin!Ron (Prince of the Dark Kingdom, which also has a wonderful werewolf!Luna), Slytherin!Ginny (The Grey Maiden series) and Slytherin!Hermione (Applied Cultural Anthropology), but never Slytherin!Luna. But then, the others have malleable personalities, Luna does not.
