Is Five Kingdoms for the Dead another Sakura centric story that features the god awful "Celestial voice" shit? I understand wanting to make Sakura a more prominent part of the story, but deciding she needs a power up that literally makes her the embodiment of Deus ex Machina seems a little wonky.

I didn't say anything about it being recent. Reverse-harem shows have been around almost as long as regular harem shows. There's just more of them now because, as i said, market shifts.

And otome and fujoshi are basically the same market; sure, there is a difference, but at the end of the day they're similar enough that the difference doesn't really matter.

Not... really? I think that was a Time Braid thing and while 5K(Five Kingdoms fuck writing that title over and over again) is along the same type of writing style. Ie. Its a bit surrealist at times.

Basically iirc, it takes the whole "lol Inner Sakura" and turns into this weird 5 split personality based on all the quote unquote Big Bads of the Naruto series, off the top of my head: Orochimaru, Danzo, Madara. All stuck in her head or at least a warped version of them.

Mind you, it got... Weird. With a capital W at the end.

Like Head!Madara was actually real and something about souls and finding him in the next life what?

If you've got nothing else to read and some time to kill I'd say give it a shot. If not, then I would pass on it.

There are more shounen battle manga that are popular because of fujoshi. Manga and anime that have a female protagonist with multiple hot guys vying for her affections are popular (and have been popular for fucking ever) because of ordinary girls. Not girls who literally only care about yaoi pairings, regardless of what manga the characters are from, or even what the actual personality of those characters is.

That's like saying male harem manga are popular because of lolicons. I mean, I guess there would be some reading it sure, but that's a pretty out there statement that's essentially fucking bullshit.

Ugh, I tried my best, but I couldn't finish the whole chapter. It was so cheesy. I got to to the point where Naruto called Jairaya "Raiya". Nothing makes me hit [X] faster than an author using a stupid and sappy nickname in a shitty attempt to convey how close two characters are.

 

It was definitely a... drop, in terms of quality. It just feels like it had a lot of potential to go into interesting directions, but this last chapter circled it back to all the cliches I don't like in timetravel stories.

- "assassin-like" naruto, an example of what I'm looking for is a Naruto that has the same feats as Killua at the beginning of the Hunter exam ( I think we can call this a super naruto because it's around jounin level )
- evil kyuubi who manipulates/tortures/makes a "nasty" deal with Naruto
- a demon world like the Makai from YYH
- naruto has abilities that look like Hiei jagan/dotdf from YYH again
- smart/manipulative naruto
- cold naruto
- no pairings

Because People Lie by Nugar fits the first pretty well, and satisfies a bunch of your other conditions.
Sadly, it's abandoned, and has been for a while.
It is NaruHina, though, but much less saccharine than it usually is. Also a minor crossover with Lovecraft.

both of those kind of evil are good for me but it's more like he wants to destroy konoha or some shit like that and he doesn't hesitate to do nasty things like betrayal or manipulation to accomplish his goal
