Anyone familiar with Farming Simulator 2015? I know its already out for PC, and I was hoping someone had played it enough to tell me if it will be worth the money to get it for PS4. It comes out May 19th, and I think it would be something my girl and I could play together without her getting disinterested immediately/frustrated when I beat her.

Your goal is to keep your girl interested, so you said to yourself, "Hmm, how about a farming simulator?"

Modern adventure games seem to be the ideal couple games (anecdotally...).

Broken Age comes out on ps4 soon (act 1 and 2). The Telltale games ( Borderlands one supposed to be really good, notsomuch GoT one) and the one I'm really looking forward to, Until Dawn.

If she's really awesome, have her play P.T. If she's still with you after putting her through that, just marry her.

Cooperative survival is up there as well, I've seen countless couples playing things like Day-Z and H1Z1.

Honestly, if you've got two computers then I'd recommend picking up Don't Starve Together. On its own the game, is a lot of fun, has a unique art-style, and doesn't have an absurd learning curve to prevent newcomers from enjoying it. Playing it with someone else just makes it even better.

It's the kind of game that will leave you with interesting memories that you'll be laughing about for a while.

Don't Starve is on PS4 too. And Vita, I think?

You're doing this so, so wrong. Non-Gamer!SO friendly cooperative games for PS4:

    • Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
    • LittleBigPlanet 3
    • Lego Marvel Superheroes
    • Child of Light
If she's a gamer: Broforce, Mercenary Kings and Towerfall: Ascension (played in coop) might also be solid choices.

Alternatively, there's always the option to pass a pad back and forth while playing a single player game with an awesome story. My GF and I have been playing the re-releases of the early Final Fantasy this way and it has been fucking amazing.

For some perspective, she likes Grand Theft Auto enough to play by herself, but she's really iffy with games. She likes 'the Sims' and the occasional 'Mario style' game, but that's about it.

I mean, I could just do as I've been doing and buy 'Bloodborne', but there's only so much she'll get out of those type of games. Lara Croft isn't a bad rec, because I forgot about that one. I already own Child of Light and she wasn't interested (though I loved it). Love Final Fantasy games but, again, she's lukewarm.

LittleBigPlanet is definitely one I've considered (and I'm pretty certain she'll enjoy all the customization stuff). Ultimately, that might be the way to go.

I'd advise against bloodborne, lol. You're likely to turn to her and headbutt her in a blind rage.

You should check out Helldivers too. Properly fun and funny co-op starship troopers style twin-stick shooter. It's from the Magicka devs. It shows.

Temple of Osiris is a pretty fun co op game, I'll second that. Diablo 3 is fun too co op.

Trine 2 is very similar to Temple of Osiris, but 2D. Properly gorgeous too. Trine 3 is out soon too.

LBP is a decent shout, especially since they've recreated FF7 in engine, lol. I've not played it though.

Nope. Not clicking that, because if I don't get hyped, I don't get disappointed.

In fact, I'll start thinking about all the ways they can fuck it up, so that if they deliver a nice game, I'll be pleasantly surprised. Time to hit /v/, I'm sure they'll help.

    Edit:

Oh dear, I thought /v/ was baiting with this at first

    But then

What about the Elves? Tomb Kings? Chaos? Skaven? Lizardmen? Christ, don't tell me they intend to showcase Tzeentch again as the main fixation of the Chaos horde like they did in WAR.

I don't know much about Warhammer Fantasy. Also I'm doomed to eternally suck at RTS games apparently.

Based on enembee's rec I bought LBP3 for 22.99. It's enjoyable but I haven't had an opportunity to really dive in. Still have my Garden Warfare fetish going strong so its hard to turn on the PS4 and not play that.

Warhammer Fantasy is in my top 3 fictional universes, up there with Harry Potter and Joe Abercombie's. I also love Total War, so pretty stoked.

Although no Skaven sees it drop serious points in my estimation.

I absolutely approve and adore the overall plan to flood the Skyrim workshop with shit like this:

The obvious thing that is going to happen now is that most modders of quality will start demanding money for their work, to the point that only garbage mods will be available for free. It doesn't really bother me in regards to Skyrim, I already have all the mods I could ever need on my harddrive. But it's going to suck when the next Fallout and Elder Scrolls games are released.

That's not actually going to happen. Most of the modders, especially the old school guys who know what they're doing, are against this move. In their view, it goes totally against what modding is all about.
