My laptop committed suicide several days ago so I've been waiting patiently for the iPhone app to be released. Hopefully it will be soon because I won't be able to buy a tablet until the end of the month.

Speaking of which, does Hearthstone run good on the Kindle Fire HD series of tablets?

 

My RNG just lost me a chance at doing well in the NVIDIA tournament.

It was control Warrior vs. Control Hunter. I'm the Hunter at 30 health, he has 13. He has a used deaths bite in hand and I have an eaglehorn bow with 3 charges.

He alex's me down to 15, so I hunter's mark and kill it, then hit his face and use my hero power to get him on 8.

He drops grommash, hits with death's bite and Grommash to drop me to 1 HP. I throw down Rag. It hits grommash.

He plays a shieldmaiden and armors up. I drop him to seven with my weapon, hero power, and quick shot. Rag hits the shieldmaiden.

He drops a piloted shredder. Rag hits the shredder. The dropped mechwarper kills me.

 

That is Hearthstone in a nutshell, you are probably not surprised it happened.

 

Went 12-2.

It should have gone 12-1, but I disconnected from the game exactly as I was inputting the commands to win the match.

Like.. I was telling the Worgen to attack the face, and he froze in mid flight.

So I claim 13-1.

 

The Hearthstone app is live on iPhone as of right now. It is also available for android smartphones today(although I'm not sure if it's now or later today). I'm very happy that I can play again for the first time in a week!! This'll tide me over until my new tablet arrives in the mail in a few days.

Bane of Doom is freaking great!

I was playing a match against mech hunter and after I voidcaller'ed Mal'Ganis on turn 4, I bane of doomed Illidan on turn 5. Turn 6 I played 3 mana Molten Giant and Healbot. I actually felt bad for the opp after that smack down.

*EDIT*

I just witnessed the fastest insta-concede in my match just now. The Quarter Master Paladin gave the match away after I received Mal'Ganis from bane of doom on turn 5. He peacekeepered it but I sacrificed voidcaller into Aldor to get double Mal'Ganis on board on turn 6!!!

 

I tried the Android app. It's rubbish.

They added a unnecessary step to playing a card that annoys me. That is all that I could find out before the app crashed. Over and over again. I used the tablet app someone had got to run on phones and that thing didn't crash once and didn't have the ui made for the blind. So Blizzard has essentially spent all this time making the damn thing worse and not work.

iphone app hasnt fucked me over yet- There is the extra step of tapping your cards to 'bring them up' sorta, to make it easier to directly choose the card you want.

Otherwise its pretty nice all things considered

Played two great games today with 2 different mage arena decks, for the first one I had 3 duplicates and got all of them to combo with sludge belcher, and just managed to grind him out till he was top decking and I had 4-6 cards in hand. The highlight of a 1-3 mage run where the only spells were 3 duplicates and a flamestrike.

The second arena run, I had grim patron, and ended up getting 10+ of them, as my opponent had lots of minions with 2 attack, or I was able to fire blast it and then trade. Ended up 7 cards up and a 10/10 frost wolf warlord. I felt kind of bad.

 

Turn 1 Loatheb goddamn. Fuck Druids.

 

Nefarian is fucking hilarious.

I'm actually getting back into it now. Been waiting to get this on my phone. The PvE is surprisingly fun.
