I think Macks could have started wearing dresses or speaking with an English accent and all youd have to say is, Alien body hijacking.

I suspect we'll have at least one or two seasons of "I CAN'T CONTROL MYSELF!!" and "WHY ME?!!" angst before she actually womans up and becomes Quake.

Eh, shows seem to be taking cues from Flash and getting that kind of stuff dealt with quickly as of late. I mean, based on the promo, it seems her power might be revealed to Coulson next episode itself. Also remember that the guy who picked up Raina presumably feels like he owes a fair deal to Skye's mom, so if he learns of who she is he'll probably be invested in getting her comfortable with her powers quickly.

Damn, this was a great episode. Kinda glad that Coulson and May came down on Skye's side with pretty much zero hesitation, Fitz is a bro as always. It's somewhat silly to see people like Mack arguing that secrets are bad and that they had a right to know, lol.

The promos seem like next week is going to be fun too. Cal seems to be having fun with this, which can only make things more interesting. Hopefully Ward will be back soon, too.

Two SHIELDs. Stuffs going to get confusing. Wards betrayal won't seem that big of a deal now tho. Haha. Other than screwing up Fitz's brain.

A number of people on the subreddit raised the point that the only Council members and SHIELD oversight people who knew Fury lived were killed in Winter Soldier. So they may not regard Coulson's new SHIELD as a legitimate successor - hell, even if they knew Fury gave the keys to him (which they should now, given they're going after Fury's toolbox), they may not consider Fury the person in charge of that decision, and the World Security Council (or UN or whoever was ultimately backing SHIELD) might have decided to quietly resurrect it (in order to avoid public backlash since SHIELD probably doesn't have the best rep right now), and want the goodies in Fury's toolbox.

"Got any of those little umbrellas?" :)

Lot of action in this last one, though story-wise it feels more like a set up for a bunch of stuff that's coming. Watching Skye get a handle on what she's capable of is going to be fun (and, as we saw, possibly forest-leveling).

Lol at EJ Olmos saying, "I'm still the commander of this ship." Total Adama flashback, and just a tiny nerdgasm.

I really liked the Skye fight scene. I read on IGN that the same director that directed Agent 33/May fight directed this one. Will be looking forward to more of his work. Coulson is being all sorts of awesome towards the end. Saw Age of Ultron yesterday, maybe should have postponed it for a day haha.

This show has really come on from its weak start. I'm actually enjoying it more than Arrow and about the same as The Flash, this coming from a complete Flash family fanboy. :p

Eh Im enjoying this and Arrow more than Flash but mostly because Barry is annoying me atm.

Ward was brilliant as per usual.

Coulson was brilliant - ooops... spoiler alert.

Anyone else ... kinda sad about Jemma? Or that there was no visible repercussions for what she did? I expect it to come up later but.. all the same.

I think she mightve hid the truth, her comment to Mike about him being "killed"

Shes either going to turn back to her normal self or go off the rails after Wards comments.

The Skye oner fight scene was all kinds of beautiful John Wick-esque stylised beautiful awesomeness, and I fucking loved it. Someone uploaded it to YouTube so you can all rewatch it twelve more times like I did. Other favourite bits of the episode was the scene of Ward trying to explain himself, and the reveal of what he did for Kara, which was all sorts of great. Coulson outplaying Gonzales after Gonzales thought he'd won was fantastic, too.

But yeah. This season has been probably the best season of network TV this year to me, but I'll save my essay on why I loved it so for another day. While we had a solid lead-in for Ultron this week's episode, I'm very happy with the fact that the finale we're building to will not be as dependent on Ultron events. Doesn't have to be! We've got a lot of big things that are going to converge. Inhumans are going to get put down and do some putting down of Real SHIELD types, Cal's probably going to full Hulk rage, Skye's prolly got some epic Quaking up her sleeve, Coulson's going to own everyone's asses, and we've definitely got character resolutions ahead for Fitz and Simmons, as well as Bobbi and Hunter. And deaths. There's gonna be deaths. Yay Whedon show...

Given the sheer interconnectivity and planning put into crafting this season (and hell, the entire show. I'm rewatching S1 now and all the Bahrain hints that led to that flashback episode a few weeks back are ridiculous), I'm so pumped for the resolution! Best show, continue being best. Sincerely, Matt.

Skye seems to be switching sides a little too quickly imo, even tho its her mother - who by the way, seems crazy

    Also Ward.. haha.

To be fair, she's probably not all that comfortable with the new structure SHIELD seems to be operating under, and she's had good experiences with Afterlife, so it's not unreasonable for her to be a little unsure of where she stands. If Coulson had been the one to come in and get scapegoated, I doubt she'd have bought it, but the little she knows of Gonzales makes the story her mother's telling fairly plausible.

Which was a bit of a surprise, btw. I was totally ramped up against Gonzales and co. this whole time, but he was downright reasonable in the negotiations. A bit of a pleasant surprise - although, of course, now SHIELD has little option other than to fight it out.

Haha. I worked out the Ward/Bobbi/33 storyline after Bobbi seemed interested in her.

Thought Raina was going to be leading them into the war tbh, but yeah it was impressive.

Guess she was too busy collecting gold rings?
