I once read a story where Harry was raised in Hogwarts. I forgot if it was good or not, but I got a random bout of curiosity to read it.

Now this search probably doesn't need it's own thread because the answer is probably "No!" or "Fuck no, what were you thinking?". But...

I keep running into HP/NCIS crosses. Now I have seen all of NCIS and not for a moment thought that what it needs is Harry Potter. I can't help being intrigued though. So are there any that are actually worth the time it takes to read them? Preferably featuring a grown up Harry.

 

I've tried to find a decent one 6 months or so back but haven't succeeded.

 

Looking for a story:

Set after the war, Harry, Hermione and Ron are all grown up and have jobs. Hermione and Draco are both working in a job capturing dangerous magical animals (can't remember if they were with the ministry or not.) I know there was:

A running joke about Draco not reading the files about whatever he's hunting (and inevitably getting injured because of it.)

Hermione and Draco getting attacked by a herd of Manticores.

Obviously, some Draco/Hermione hinted at in the beginning (I never read all of it.)

A scene with a unicorn, and a scene in an underground temple (I think.)

Any of this ringing a bell? Thanks in advance.

Well that was... something. You can almost feel the author cupping himself as he describes the various weapons used.

Well there is a new ME/HP cross named Madness Effect it's still at the beginning but I like it.

Ashes of the Past is always good for nice chuckle and it is regularly updating which is rare.

Grow young with me if you are into angst and drama, then this is for you. Maybe.

I'm looking for a fic where Harry & co find a book on glamours and other selfenhancement spells and imitate Gilderoy Lockhart in Great Hall.

Or something like that, i remember it was quite fun.

Any stories where Luna starts acting normally? I know many people wouldn't be interested, but anything remotely decent where Luna confesses she's been playing with less than a full deck on purpose. Can be romance or not, doesn't matter.

 

I think I read one where she tells Harry that her goal is to weird/freak out as many people as she can. I will see if I can find it.
