That's a pretty lackluster 'read' Jan, that's got about as much filler as Cobalt's posts do. Again with a bit more seriousness, if you don't mind?

What about Moridin makes you think he's town, apart from wanting to skip past RVS quicker and having a pretty high engagement with Snowvon?

Right now I'm suspicious of everyone who has less than 10 posts, and Citrus.

I mean you really could have just said 11 posts and less.

Except now I have 12 so hah!

---------- Post automerged at 03:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:14 PM ----------

So to clarify, you are leaning town on everyone else? Or it's null vs below null there?

Like what do you think of Jan, Lucky, Lungs?

    Tempus has:

    1) A post saying it's his first game.

    2) A post arguing for quality of posts over quantity.

    3) Fluff

    4) Fluff

    5) Comment about last game

    6) Closest thing to gamesolving I see:

and 7) another thing about last game.

    I don't see it.

I don't know Tempus. I have nothing to compare his town/scum style with. Like, I agree on Waco, I think the tone of his posts in the early game are more indicative of town!Waco, but that's because I know Waco and I might be biased considering I was scum with him last game and it was easy to read him scummy and he's not doing that this game, so, whatever.

I don't find anything in Tempus's posts that makes it less likely for him to be scum, IMO. I'm not seeing what you're seeing to the extent that it's pinging me that you townread him.

I'm leaning town on Waco and Snowvon. Null on the other high posters.

Jan has done nothing to differentiate from the other 3 games I've played with him, and he was town in those. Joking around with Von, teasing Koalas, some mechanics discussion, etc. I don't really know what to look for in scum!Jan. I suspect Jan's scumgame to be hyperbolic and in-your-face as opposed to slanking, but that's a personality read and pretty thin.

Lungs and Lucky feel kinda like they're playing a different, less serious game, and I approve in the spirit of me personally wanting to take this game kind of easy, but it makes them pretty null in my book.

Citrus, what's your current read on Moridin? Specifically, what was your initial reaction to this post?

I don't know him either, but I think he mentioned being new in the signups thread? New-players that roll scum tend to be MUCH quieter and withholding of thoughts/posts, and it ends up coming out looking a lot of the time as lurking. Especially because they're scared they'll say something that becomes a 'slip-up' or might help town players solve the game. Meanwhile Tempus has been pretty ?lackadasical? in tone in like all his posts. I don't think I've ever recalled a scum!new!player being that casual, though right now this site has a very casual early-game-meta like in this game thus far

Hmm actually he also did have knowledge of the previous witch hunt game a la Riley...

    Tempus_Fruit
What's your mafia experience? Were you an observer to the previous witch hunt game or when did you read it?

That's why I'm leaning town moderately on him (less so than Waco, more than Lungs)

---------- Post automerged at 04:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:59 PM ----------

That Fruitian slip doe. Tempus Fruit would be such a better name though

In all honesty I kinda just skimmed Moridin's posts and decided I'd look more at him later. I've had a few games before where a scum-player tried to push through RVS faster to look towny (I think I've done it before as scum too once), which adds paranoia to reading those posts from him for me, hence why I want to wait til he has more posts as more content filters into the game.

That post from Moridin reads very reasonably to me. And furthermore it's very logical/makes sense on the various points on Snowvon. Except the fun part is Snowvon is very town (as is obvious from everyone townreading him). So I think that makes it more indicative of Town!Moridin, since scum would not be able to setup a mislynch on Snowvon no matter how hard it tries meaning it'd be a waste of time. And it's not filler content so it looks like he's contributing either, since he's the one that wants to push through RVS.

So that's actually giving me a town-lean on Moridin now that you made me actually close-read him (or at least, just that post).

Any more posts/players you want my thoughts on?

I have a more null read on tempus than that.

I have a really null-town read on citrus because it's almost like he was prodded to contribute and so he was like "oh I should play this game? okay"

maybe it's because I suck or something because right now I have vague town reads on nearly everyone

I have a pretty strong town read on moridin because raisins

uhhhh, I have a weirdly scummy vibe from menace because he was trolling so hard with me the same way lucky was but then it just like, fell off. idk, though I'm not sure you can be like "oh he stopped shitposting so he's fucking scum" but like, it's gut lol

This is my first game ever.
Regarding why I read the previous game, well I applied for it since I was interested, when I couldn't get in I decided to just observe.

Regarding the content of my posts, I didn't have much to go on for gamesolving. The post you mentioned was a reply to waco, I have nothing to hide so if you habe doubts feel free to ask.

    A) Third. You're funny. B) I didn't. Like faerie housekeepers the curse disappears when it's acknowledged.

I'm good. I mainly wanted you to look at one post in particular to kind of gauge your own mindset and approach. Also to see if it matched my thoughts on Moridin.

    I do not.

    Gotcha thanks tempus.

I like it because the reasoning looks like it comes from someone without information on anyone's alignments as it's pretty objectively critical, and I also think it's not scummy (kinda ties into my thoughts above on moridin, but again I don't think a scum player would be critical of snowvon of all players in this game at that stage). Though he has less content than moridin, but he's also new

Kalas, got anything with content to post then since you claim to not be a witch?
