Do you find that the Reavers can turn games around? I haven't seen them used very effectively in stream. It's possible I'm watching the wrong streams though.

Fel, in my experience, will almost never turn around a losing game. It will tip the game in your favor if the game is even/you have board presence. If you're already ahead and play Reaver then you'll snowball and win in 2/3 turns.

I am trying out a new deck lately that consists entirely of Taunts and Spell Damage minions with a lot Mage spells. Needless to say, I am kicking my friends asses but getting beat down in Ranked matches.

Played combo druid to rank 7 over the last 3 days, but I've gone back to my favourite deck since GvG, midrange paladin. I can throw up some stats if someone wants.

If I want to go ranked seriously, I'll break out a Druid or a midrange Paladin, but mostly it's been 'do quests as they pop up' with whatever deck seemed most appropriate.

Messing around with a Mech Pally deck with Darkbane + Lightbane twins. Lots of spare parts and cheap buff spells as activators.

I finally broke and made a Christmas Paladin deck.

I feel dirty, but the constant winning is almost enough to assuage my shame.

It's really good for climbing, because it's just...really simple to play.

I dunno what I want to actually play this season.

My last 4 rank 5 climbs have been tempo mage, zoolock, hybrid hunter, mech rogue.

I don't want to play patron, and am not a huge fan of most control. Any suggestions? If I want a different class I'm restricted to Paladin, Priest, Shaman, Druid, Warrior, hm.

I don't want to play Patron or Control Warrior. Some kind of Mech Warrior or dragon tempo maybe, but idk if those are competitive enough.

Secret Paladin is a 'no thanks', I guess I could go midrange token paladin with Justicar, Murloc knights, Quartermasters, Tirion?

Dragon Priest is a possibility, but a little slower than I generally like. Maybe an aggro priest with shadowbombers, spawn of shadows, mind blasts, etc. A lot of unsuspecting burst.

Mech Shaman is something I've played a bit of in the past, and I just did mech rogue last season so meh. Totem/token shaman I guess is a possibility, but it's just not all that good.

I guessss I could just play midrange combo druid like everyone else on the planet.

How can anyone stand to play midrange paladin in this meta? Doesn't the constant shanking by patron get on your nerves?

Dragon priest feels solid enough but it doesn't have many amazing match ups, it's pretty much limited to preying on hunter, which isn't as prevalent these days, and Druid when they don't get their ramp/crazy combo.

Mech shaman is terrible and has been god awful for the last season or two unless you find yourself playing almost nothing but Handlock and control warrior. Midrange shaman seems curious to me, you have all the tools to counter everything, hexes, lightning storms, earth shocks etc but it's consistently ranked as the worst deck by tempo storm/liquid hearth etc who knows? Maybe you could get it to work.

Eh combo Druid works I suppose, I did use it almost exclusively to get to legend last season, but it has to be one of the most formulaic decks to run. The chances to make fun and/or exceptional plays just seems so much worse than other decks.

I really would recommend patron, unless you have something personal against it, it's effective and fun to play, actually requires skill, and against aggro no two games are ever the same. And as a plus it does amazingly well against the cancer, secret, face hunter etc and when you win against control warrior or Handlock it feels like you've accomplished something. Oh and it's also relatively really cheap to make.

I don't care for Patron. You complain about Druid being formulaic, but 'draw, draw, draw, combo' feels even more mind numbing to me. I realise that's a gross oversimplification but, yeah.

Totem or Midrange Shaman is an option I guess? Maybe using charged hammers. I think the reason midrange shaman doesn't really work is the hero power is just so terrible and inconsistent. If the exact same decklist could be used by almost any other class it'd be quite good?

Yeh that's pretty much the lay of the land when playing against control, but you don't win many of those anyway. Against aggro however it's always quick estimations on the worth of spot removal vs stacking combo pieces, calculating exact damage and waiting for your opponent to overextend. Exciting stuff.

Druid is just so ehhh, like im pretty sure the only reason I bothered to get a golden portrait for it was because golden malfurian is just too pretty.

Yeh shaman really got surprisingly terrible support in tgt despite everyone clamouring over totem golem and thunder bluff. Charged hammer just feels so slow though, you'd have to wait to turn 7 for the switch in hero power and 2 attack weapon loses value quickly I feel after turn five. Unless of course you overlay it with doom hammer but then that's just asking to be harrisoned.

Maybe some variant of zoo or midrange warlock? It has all the makings of a decent deck. Potential early game pressure curving into insane 2 card combos and solid enough board clears.

I've played a good bit of Zoo, both pre-TGT, and with Gormok after, and it's solid. I'm just looking for something to play that's not the 4-5 classes I've already done a climb with.

Trying out Mech Warrior at the moment and it's...surprisingly decent? Lots of weapons/burn, can get some absurd burst.

I've played some Maly Shaman that uses charged hammer, and it's pretty good in that, but you aren't wrong that it's pretty slow.

Harrison isn't all that common at the moment I don't feel like. ~60% of druids use it, and most control warriors, and that's about it?

Dragon Priest, from what I've seen, seems like a decent deck these days. I lack the dust for it at the moment, though (need 200 more dust for it). I could DE the Mistcaller I just got, but meh.

I'd recommend mech warrior. I've played 38 games with it this season, with a 60% winrate against all the other early legend climbers. It's biggest strength is it's ability to punish paladin, which made up 12 of the games I played. Biggest weakness is decks that establish early board control like mech mage and dragon priest.

Funny enough I've been playing some mech warrior after I decided mech pally was 'meh'.

It has an awful lot of burn.

Mech rogue with darkbane is better though imo.

...Just scrolled up and I'd already said i was playing it, so this is irrelevant heh.

Apparently that legendary is really common. Someone posted a video of them opening 200 packs and got 5 normal and 1 golden. I got 1 as well.

Holy crap I'm on a roll with Dragon mage. 10 wins in a row from rank 6 to 4 before calling it a night. Plus, dragons are awesome.

Plotless is that the dragon tempo Mage that strifecro was playing?

Can't really ladder much this season as I have my major exams, but that deck has been pretty consistent if a bit dull to play,
