Von, I'm not going to pretend that vote was really anything other than OMGUS :p

I do want to keep it where it though, at least until I get anything satisfactory from PL. The only other people I've thought about voting so far are Titus, because I dislike her WIFOM shenanigansz, and demonturtle for falling for her shenanigansz. I decided against both though. demonturtle is probably town, his play reminds me of how I play (which is probably why he has 3 votes tbh, I'm terrible at mafia) and Titus is Titus.

The reason I kept pestering Plotless for an explanation is because I knew he was still around. I could see his name at the bottom of the page and in the online members list.

Using the online users thing isn't something you should do. It's never reliable.

Your wording ('until I know you're town') was too strong. It sounded like you were putting an unreasonable amount of burden of proof on Plotless, at the very least, so that you could justify keeping your vote on him.

It also goes against rule #10. The 'currently active users viewing this thread' thing should functionally not exist from players perspective.

Whoops, my apologies then. I figured that was more to do with talking to people about the game rather than an "I know you're there, I can see you" type thing. I won't use it in the future.

In the interest of helping the new people adjust to the game, I’m going to give a breakdown of the first couple pages and thoroughly answer any questions about it.

I like Wei’s opening, because he’s still fairly new and Citrus is a player most mafia don’t want scrutinizing them.

Compare to Von, who’s humor is unusually weak and placating.

Jan’s point is basically useless, as Citrus was acting more out of affection than anything game related towards Banks. I do think it indicates that Banks and Citrus are not /both/ mafia and that Citrus and Jan are not both mafia.

I dislike that Von wasn’t willing to vote for a newbie. It’s very unlikely that we’ll lynch one of you D1, true, but you guys don’t need to know that and it undermines are pressure that can be built up toDay.

I like that Blorcyn was willing to just jump in on voting Titus.
Demonturtle’s, for comparison, was a lot worse, because she seems to know that Titus is town and can’t understand why Titus choose to fakeclaim scum.

Also like that Titus came to the same conclusion on Blorcyn and demonturtle, and that she’s attempting to figure out the game from the beginning. Further, claiming scum and counting on outing the plan to save herself is risky in a game with a lot of newbies, if Titus is mafia.

Plotless is openly sheeping. I think as mafia he’d put a little more effort into appearing to have independent thought, so I’ll give him a light townread.

Blorcyn is making a very solid attempt at figuring out the game, and from a very town perspective (I.e., he’s thinking about his own actions and thoughts as a townie, and comparing them to others). Strong town read.

Citrus seems to be thinking exactly the opposite of me, and I find it strange that he didn’t see the difference between demonturtle and Blorcyn.

Again, demonturtle seems to know that Titus is town and realize that she got trapped.

This is a good question and I like Evil for asking it.

Disagree. Tempus’s exact opening has been used by both town and scum in the past. It is not alignment indicative, and I don’t like Von or Citrus thinking that it is. Also dislike Citrus jumping in to defend Von.

Again, I strongly disagree. Blorcyn’s progression on demonturtle was one of the towniest things in the game.

This reasoning for reading Tempus town is bullshit. The request for questions also seems fairly useless.

I agree with Wei on every point. Town read.

I don’t think LJ would ever claim this as scum, as it severely limits her claiming options down the line and is easily disproven if she is lying.

Dislike. I don’t think LJ softed neutral and neutral hunting is a fairly reliable scumtell.

    Agreeing with Titus again.

I didn’t like a lot of TMNT’s content prior to this point, but this post is fairly towny. He’s willing to admit that he’s omgusing, instead of being defensive, and the demonturtle read comes from an OK place. I like the bit about Plotless, rulebreaking though it is.

Fonti's read splurge is interesting. A bunch of new people she is like openly buddying is noted.

I have begun use to fonti's abrasive nature on pushes day 1 and be disagreeing. I worry when I'm not far off her page.

Imagine us walking towards the same goal but I have one eye on her atm.

Ooh exciting! So the question is, are your reads full of crap? Because I'm thinking they are.

I find it hard to believe you think Snowvon is scummy right now, especially after you mis-read him pretty damn hard over at JTM.

Your read on Titus is crap too, because she dropped her 'scum-claim' verrry quickly. Considering this is also a 5-day game. And we both know that's not risky even in a game with a lot of newbies.

You are also immediately assuming LJ isn't a neutral who doesn't want to be checked by anything, or a scum!ascetic.

    Vote: Fontisian

THIS is how your reads should be, if you were town:

    Snowvon

    Tempus Fugit
    Blorcyn
    Banks

    Everyone else
    Titus

That is an example of OMGUS. He is not considering that I am not voting for Von because I /am/ a little uncertain of my scumread and want to avoid a mislynch on Von's birthday. He has no reasons for townreading Banks, and should be more paranoid (as Banks is a very good scumplay) and he cannot address my issues with his townread of Tempus.

Oh, and Citrus' complaint about my Titus read is semantics at best. The main read is based on the way Titus keeps saying things I agree with.

I'll add that Citrus' claiming a townread on Blorcyn contradicts his earlier interactions with Blorcyn.

Snowvon's very likely town, which is the exact opposite of what you profess him to be.

Banks is townish because he didn't mention the (3) votes on him within his fluff, rather than make a joke about them.

You ignored my point on Titus.

You're also being exponentially more verbose than you usually are.

    Your move
