On another note, has anyone gotten Vermintide? Because I have and I'm bloody loving it.

So A new Overlord game came out. Overlord: Fellowship of Evil. I love the Overlord games(more the lore than the games themselves, but I digress). I tried it out, in the second map of the Tutorial I run into a deactivated spike trap and insta death. Pure wat. Also the Menu sometimes doesn't react to mouse clicks. So yeah don't play it.

Zestiria is... not very good so far. 10 hours in; it's kind of obvious that they didn't put much thought into the story or characters. Hopefully it gets better, but I'm considerably less enthused about it than I was two days ago.

It's weird. It's not.. terrible but it doesn't feel like a Tales game.

So another thing with Zestiria. The Vanille/Fang-esque pseudo-romance between Mikleo and Sorey is incredibly annoying. I understand why they went the route they did, due to potential sales backlash from non open-minded folk, but it's so blatantly obvious that they wanted this to be Yaoi!Tales that it feels like they're punching me in the face. They really should have just committed, made them gay, and basked in the critical praise for pushing boundaries they'd have been sure to receive.

I'd be curious if a Japanese dev would have the testicular fortitude to have a gay pairing in a 'big' game.

    I'm guessing not.

Yeah, pretty sure there's no chance they'd do it in a mainstream title. Their sales would plummet.

I dont think they have a choice on the blood thing.

Its a ratings thing and may be publisher mandate.

    I'm enjoying Syndicate. A lot.

I've not gone far with the story yet - that's how I play AC games, do all the side stuff first - but Jacob and Evie are fun and likable.

There's also a bit of San Andreas to this game in the 'beat the enemy gang back and take over London with your own, district by district'.

There's also no eavesdropping missions, lol.

Edit: OH, and Sony's Paris Games Week conference is tomorrow (timezones -_- less than 24 hours away). Hoping for some big announcements! A lot of scuttlebutt about NMS, and while the devs came out on twitter denying the most exciting rumour (a 27/10 release), that's all they denied.

Didn't they crudely shove a tranny into Victorian London in this one and make Karl Marx a hero or ally? Lol. AC is a bigger joke than Call of Duty at this point.

It's a video game, not a reflection of reality.

If authenticity is your issue, maybe you should have checked out after witnessing their world's physics, years ago.

Piles of leaves now. For authenticity, obviously.

No Man's Sky out June 2016...

    Allegedly.

Pretty average conference so far. Wild looks incredible - you essentially play as a Shaman with Bran's powers from GoT.

Gran Turismo Sport also entering Beta next year. VR compatible. I'm a fairly casual GT fan, but I feel like that could really push VR units. Racing fans love their peripherals.

Apparently, Paradox bought up White Wolf and all of its properties from CCP.

I've no idea if they'll actually do anything worthwhile with all those IPs though.

I'm fully expecting the worst of the worst and if it turns out otherwise, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Paradox is a good studio, though they tend to spread out a lot of content over DLCs. I'm hoping for a strategy game set in a single city, since that's where Paradox's strengths tend to lie. The Clausewitz Engine seems suited to that kind of thing, given the sheer number of characters available in CK2, and one of the major themes of WoD is the struggle between influential members of each faction.

I just wish we'd gotten more Vampire the Masquerade games out of Troika before they shut down.

    Or Vampire the Dark Ages.

I'm not picky, so long as they're decent RPGs.

I'm a bit iffy on this deal. As much as I like paradox they aren't exactly known for rpg's. The only one they had in development got canceled. And a 4x or GsG isn't what I picture when I think about WoD or Vampire.

Wow, new Nier trailer looks fun and super pretty. I've not been a huge fan of Platinum's work lately, and I think they're spreading themselves too thin, but it definitely looks awesome.

Yeah, that looks pretty fun. Wish they'd chosen slightly different music.

The original Nier was one of those hidden gem games I always really liked, so I'll definitely be interested in seeing what this is about.
