I played the same deck from 8 to 4. Brann had minimal effect and I'm pretty sure I would have been better off with standard midrange Hunter. Still a fun deck.

Yeah, probably. It's just a 'to break the monotony of climbing' deck that still works alright.

Brann works really well in handlock, but I'm more of a zoo kind of guy.

I'll assume you saw Reynad's new deck then. Thoughts?

I like the idea of board flood > get sea giant/reliquary value, and Gormok is one of my favorite cards - I run it in my demon zoo even.

But I think I personally prefer playing demon zoo - I love my voidcaller/doomguard/mal'ganis synergy.

He stuck around for one or two more turns then conceded. He kept spamming well played and I kept spamming back sorry. It was just too sickening for him to get off the dream Aviana play and then to just get so destroyed the next turn.

So this is a deck I drafted for Arena. Current score: 7-0.

I drafted Druid this morning and am currently 3-0:
    [IMGUR]xPj1ckT[/IMGUR]

The 3rd game was against Paladin and it ended in a damned nail-biter victory.

    Turn 7

    • I'm at 18 life and opp is at 17 life.
    • on his board is a recruit, mad scientist and a 5/2 stormwind knight. I have no minions and I draw mech yeti.
    • My hand is v. lumberer, knight of the wild, clock knight, drak crusher, ooze and the yeti.
    • I play knight of the wild and end my turn.
    • He draws argent lance and keeper of uldaman my knight.
    • he attacks my knight with lance and recruit and hits face for 7 damage. He is at 14 life while I'm at 11.
    Turn 8

    • I draw cult master and play ooze to get rid of the lance along with the 9/9 drak crusher.
    • He plays tuskarr but losses the joust then he plays holy light to get to 20 life.
    • He goes face and puts me at 1 life.
    Turn 9

    • He is at 20 life to my 1 life.
    • I draw druid of the flame.
    • I attack ooze into stormwind knight and drak crusher into tuskarr.
    • I play 7 mana vol. lumberer and druid of the flame as the 5/2.
    • He kills off mad scientist and concedes the game!
    *EDIT*
I finished the run at 7-3 and opened up

Watching dream hack. Can someone explain to me why the winning player keeps his deck and the losing player loses it? Seems very backwards.

Because you won, why should you be punished? Think of each deck as a 'life' when you run out you've lost.

Imo the winner should have made the best 3 decks, not a single deck that (hypothetically) lucked out against its counter then is just a good match up against the other two your opponent is playing.

I was wondering myself why they were using Last Hero Standing, not Conquest (which was the format for this year's Blizzcon and assorted tournaments, IIRC)...

Because I lot of people have hated Conquest, and it's not a horrible thing to have a variety of different formats over different tournaments.

I love how many no-name people hit the top 16, while the 2nd place finisher of Blizzcon didn't even make it out of groups. Hearthstone so random.

I just finished an 8-3 Shaman run.
    [IMGUR]PQjVGrn[/IMGUR]

We are 3 weeks into LoE cards being in arena, granted we are still 2 weeks away from the plus 25% pick bonus for LoE. I have done 5 runs since LoE cards became available. I'm buying the LoE wings with gold so I can't buy as many arena tickets as I want right now.

I am currently having the most success that I've ever had in arena. My average wins is 5.6 with 3 runs at 7/8 wins. I got hosed with a 2-3 Rogue run in between the Druid run and this Shaman run.

Here are my Opp by Class percentages in 43 matches:

    • Druid 20.93%
    • Hunter 2.33%
    • Mage 20.93%
    • Paladin 30.23%
    • Priest 2.33%
    • Rogue 13.95%
    • Shaman 4.65%
    • Warlock 4.65%
    • Warrior 0.00%
The Hunter and Priest didn't happen until matches 38 & 39 respectively. Shaman and Warlock were before match 27.

I can only hope that more people start picking other classes once that LoE pick bonus activates, although I don't see that happening.

Haven't tryharded yet this season, I only play like an hour every day or two to pass some time. I was planning to tryhard some ladder on the last few weeks to get my rank 5 rewards, but it turns out I didn't need to.

This deck got me to rank 4 today.

Turns out that Brann Bronzebeard works very well with Quartermasters. Who would've thought, right?

It's the first time I've gotten rank 4. I know it's not considered particularly high among the high end players, but it's still a nice feeling to me. I'll see if it can take me any further.

I just achieved an amazing feat, 80 Life + Armor Control Warrior!!!!

His last 2 cards were Bloodlust & Rockbaiter Weapon. He took me down to 65 life before conceding.

So I've watched a few of Trump's Free to Play runs and I'm wondering just how viable it is without investing massive amounts of time playing Hearthstone? I haven't really gotten into the game but I'm interested in starting.

Hearthstone has a pretty high learning curve and needs quite some time and/or money invested for real results.
