I like the idea of 'yearly exclusive' cards coming in and adding some neat (or cancerous) twist on classic deck archtypes.

Seems like Reno and Challenger are examples of 2015 cards that changed up handlock or midrange/ aggro pally decks.

Some cards coming in this year that change up freeze mage in a similar way would be kinda cool. Maybe.

It sounds like a good idea in theory.

Don't care about the accessibility aspect at all tbh.

The way i understand it, they won't be too concerned with balance in Wild? So while you can still rank and the like, it's more 'play at your own peril'?

I wonder if Kraken also hints at the kind of expansion we'll get. Naga cards?

 

I really want to play tempo mage, but I also don't want to pay for BRM. Guess I'll be waiting a while to be able to craft my flamewaker.

 

I'm very curious what the first Standard metagame will look like. Dr. Boom and Loatheb gone, Mech Mage dead, Secret Paladin gutted. It will be interesting to say the least.

I quite hope they'll at some point make amendments to the core sets too, to help the game evolve.

 

Classic Handlock could make a comeback. No healbot or belcher, no demon synergy.

Scratch that, freeze mage is still gonna be really good. It only loses scientists, and gains advantages against other classes.

Of course, aggro decks are going to be much better, so something that counters that could be good.

 

Starting an arena run with FOUR legendaries... If this doesn't improve the garbage results I've been having recently, I am a lost cause.

Ok. I don't get arena its not like i am a bad player i get to rank 10- every season without problem but even when i think i have a good deck in arena i don't think i have ever gotten more than 4 wins(I probably have i have played since the beta after all but i cant for the life of me remember when) is this normal or am i just that unlucky?

 

Ranked is honestly pretty easy up to ranks 2-3. If you're capable of 10-12 win arena runs with any kind of frequency, you're capable of legend.

If it isn't a complete breeze to get to rank 5, then only getting 4-5 wins in arena isn't...super surprising?

Yea it was insanity. Ended up going 10-3. Could have been better, but owell.

My Reno Shadowform Priest deck.

Had some fun games with it this evening.

It's pretty flexible, but this is the list that has worked best for me. If you face like...no paladin or aggro in general you can drop the unstable ghoul, but it's been great so far.

Fatigue is your win condition most games, with some serious burst possible with garrison commander + spawn of shadows, too.

80%+ win rate vs control, 75%+ vs aggro, and just concede vs combo.

 

It looks like we might be hearing some news about the unnamed expansion on March 9.

 

I installed this on my phone a few weeks ago but I haven't really played much. I think it's really hard to get into it when there are so many cards. I don't want to spend money but at the same time I don't like losing to people who drops like a dozen dragon cards.

 

Do NOT spend any gold/irl money on the Naxx Adventure nor the GvG expansion, focus on the Classic set. You shouldn't disenchant any cards from the Classic set just yet because a number of them will be getting changed with the incoming Spring expansion and we will get full value dust at that time.

Zoo will still be pretty good even without it.

I've mostly been playing reno shadowform, but decided to actually make an effort to win games before fatigue and get up to rank 5 heh. 14 to 9 in ~15 games. Zoo is arguably dumber than secret pally.

QuickEdit - I take that back, nothing is dumber than secret pally.

 

I still argue druid is, but I've a feeling the nerf bat is coming to save the day...

 

Killed a rank 1 druid on turn 6 and he added me after the game.



What a nice guy. Hopefully he was 5 stars and I stopped him from getting to legend.
