Well, this was a fairly interesting chapter. I admit, i never considered that there might be a connection between the time loop and the Primordial.

I quite liked Sudomir reasons for doing what he did as well. Humanized him.

That ending was kind of hilarious in hindsight.

Getting punched in the face. So fucking plebian.

Anyways, the next chapter is going to be interesting for sure. The combat was pretty fun, and surprisingly seeing the primordial was nice, but dealing with Zach in the next chapter is going to be even more interesting.

    Holy fuck this is hilarious.

Well, I suppose he could not keep Zack isolated for that long.

Do you guys think this means we're into arc 3 now?

Fun! I like how much information we got this time. I wonder if the next chapter will hit us with another whammy via the memory packet?

I'd guessed a while back that the restart ended when it did because the primordial was summoned. Pretty sure it had been hinted at previously that those two things were tied together, but this confirms it.

Also, hah @ Zach. Curious where that will take us! I also wonder if this means we're transitioning from Arc 2 to Arc 3. Zorian just got a ton of information, Zach is back, the memory packet has to be opened now or not at all, Red Robe almost certainly noticed the changes in the last reset, etc. Things are shifting, regardless of the time loop.

It's fairly clear Zach now knows Zorian's looping, too - or at least that that's what we're meant to assume. There's some wiggle room left.

I do wonder how Zach figured out it was Zorian who was getting thrown back with him, though. Did he somehow learn about Zorian's involvement in the raid, and if so how?

Zach probably has had suspicions about Zorian looping ever since the end of Arc 1. Zorian severs the connection for Quatach-Ichl soul in front of Zach, which is massively out of character for what pre-loop Zorian is capable of accomplishing.

I really don't think we're at the end of Arc 2 quite yet. The end of chapter 26 has "END OF ARC 1" as the last line. Unless Nobody103 made a mistake for the end of this chapter, we probably have a little bit to go.

Nice to see Zach keeping his promises lol.:D

I wish there had been more dialogue in this chapter. I wanted to learn more about those involved in the battle. They seemed like pretty important mages. Zorian should have learned more about them so he could try to learn some of their skills, for future restarts?

Anyway, I need the next chapter right away. I'm dying to see Zach. What was the last chapter he and Zorian interacted in together, again? I've gotta reread it. I'm so pumped to see Zorian get confronted for avoiding him all this time.

Honestly, I am surprised that the author doesn't just host this story on a wordpress site or something, given its a full web serial, and not just a regular novel.

He owns the IP, so no reason he can't cash in via ads too.

Ah God this chapter was fantastic.

We got to see high-level battle magic, amidst which Zorian floored a dragon to this reaction:
Also I don't think we've heard of living metal before. Could you make a golem out of the stuff? The raw material wasn't as strong as the dragon, of course, but that was probably powered by necromancy bullshit.

Then there's the interrogation of Sudomir, where Zorian freaked out Alanic with his mind magic. Not only was he incredibly pro at memory reading, he casually wiped out portions of his memory and the geas. He was also proficient at domination, stopping Sudomir from screaming and forcing him to talk to Alanic.

We had revealed to us Sudomir's motivations and how he's controlling the iron beaks, the creation of shifters and, more generally, the nature of blood magic. (It puts a new spin on Tinami's interest in Zorian's bloodline huh?)

(It also explains why human sacrificial rituals can grant soul sight. Practically, there's no effect within the time loop [since Nochka is not permanently harmed despite being sacrificed to summon the primordial] but it makes the act of sacrifice much worse.)

We had this cute little moment:
Zorian continues to prepare for opening the memory packet. This bit gave me serious Undertale vibes:
We see someone actually harm Quatach Ichl. I wonder what the golden fire spell is and how hard it is to cast. Despite this, the primordial is summoned and the loop restarts. There are two possibilities here: Zach got involved in the fighting and died, much to his annoyance; or the loop is tied to the primordial, as Zorian speculates. I'm favouring the latter.

Also, HOLY SHIT ZACH I'm gonna go hyperventilate in a corner somewhere. I've been looking forwards to a reunion for a long time.

Well, that was amazing. So much going on. I have to say, the giant undead dragon was a little underwhelming, but the invasion and the ending were great. Should be interesting to see where it goes from here, because Zach is about to learn a lot he doesn't know about the time loop (including the fact that he got mind wiped), and they will have to work together in the future.

The mage army handled the dragon way too competently. Most stories would have had the dragon kill tons of people, only for Zorian to save the day at the last moment!

I guess it'd have been a little more exicing that way, but I can appreciate the necromancer's greatest weapon not being all that great.

I, on the other hand, found it incredibly refreshing that a large army prepared to fight undead monsters actually managed to be good at it for once. Most stories would have had the superior force be ridiculously unprepared for their purpose and the protagonist would have had to save the day with an expected cliche.

Yeah. That's what I was trying to indicate. I don't mind it at all; the end result is still largely the same.

Hm actually, upon reading it again it says 'the marker on his soul activated' when the loop reset. So that makes it much less likely Zach died.

He's up to $440/chapter from Patreon subscribers, and he'd need a few hundred thousand readers to match that with ads.

    That cliffhanger though...

We learned quite a bit in this chapter. It'll be interesting to see how Zach affects things. There will probably be more action going forward rather than planning/learning. I love this story.

Is there a certain date that nobody103 updates? I haven't been following the story long enough to notice a pattern.

    Xvim?

I honestly think I need to re-read this story, but that would take a few days of me ignoring everything to complete.

Yeah, every three weeks more or less. The next 'target date' is always listed on their FictionPress profile.
Mother of Learning Next Chapter Target Date: 15th of May, 2016
Almost never late with them either. I can only recall one chapter that was about one day late since Nobody103 started Patreon.

To be honest I was a little bored by the battle, but the ending of the chapter was hilarious and long awaited.

A patreon and adsense revenue are not mutually exclusive.
