Met a Warlock with Soulfire and Fist, I was below 10hp by turn 3

 

I was having a lot of fun with Power Word: Glory + Flash Heal.

Saw someone play Innervate + Y'Shaarj. That was annoying.

 

I decided to do a Priest arena because all 3 dailies involve Priest and this is the deck I made:

Flame Leviathan + Frost Nova, if you want to shit on mechs or mill decks.

It's kind of 50/50 with the hunter version, but it stomps all non-hunter mechs (hero power chips in damage, so it just depends how many FL's you drew vs. novas if you get the win when you can start nova + FL same turn)

Priest had flash heal/ mind blast vs my patron/whirlwind. Turned into a slugfest when he drew flash heals for ~12 turns straight.

 

Yes the Mechwarper combos suck, if you don't play WL with hellfire. Then you can just laugh in their face

 

Tried out a fairly amusing combo as mage with Mana Wyrm/Frost nova, mainly as a counter to all the retarded Y'shaarj or Mechwarper combos out there. It stops them dead in their tracks and keeps buffing up your Mana wyrms to do easy damage.

 

I just opened a Golden Leeroy from an arena pack(2 packs + 55 gold for 4 wins). I already own regular Leeroy, can't decide if I should DE it or DE the regular.

 

Update:

• 1a - I went 3-0 yesterday to finish off all 3 Priest dailies that I had(150 gold total). I had the option of using Reno in the last 2 games but only used him in the 2nd game against a Druid opponent. In the match I had very lucky draws throughout, beginning with Reno in the mulligan phase and ending with a topdeck Entomb to take Forbidden Ancient. Reno healed me for 20 which allowed me to draw the Entomb.
• 1b - This morning I received another Priest quest (40 gold) and I went 2-0. Game 4 was against Shaman where I used Reno to heal for 18. The Shaman had Boulderfist Ogre and a 4/6 Fireguard along with Stone Totem plus 3 cards in hand. I went with the safe play of Reno on the off chance of Shaman holding Crackle or Bloodlust. I also played MTC on the same turn and took Fireguard to seal my victory.

 

Clearly Warrior is the best arena class.

 

Obviously a great deck, but impressive 12-0 regardless!

 

Man, I've been having some terrific runs with Miracle Rogue on my quest to 500. As much as the BF nerf hurt my MalyRogue (it's still okay, just need good mulligans against cancer face decks), the overall lack of large damage board clear just makes miracle deadly.

It feels like Combo Druid lite in that your opponent can't let you have any minions on board, or you'll just win. Fortunately (or unfortunately), without said aoe clears, they have little to say about it with Conceal and the Stealth poison from Xaril.

tl;dr run a lot of taunts v miracle

 

Final Update:

I finished the run 10-3 and my reward was 290 (370 including dailies) gold + 2 card packs.

I lost to a Warrior in game 6 and a Warlock in game 10 because I didn't draw either of my aoe cards when I really needed them. I played Reno to heal for 24 health against the Warrior but it was too late as I lost the board.

The twelfth game was something else.

Game 12 was against my first Paladin of this run and the person had an insanely powerful deck and there was some wild rng luck on both of our parts. He drew 3 cards from his recruits and Abusive Sergents getting killed for Cult Master but I put a stop to that with Corrupted Seer. Several turns later the Paladin built his board up again with Bog Creeper plus Murloc Knight which gave him Coldlight Oracle. I Excavated Evil the board and that is where the wild RNG comes into play.

Earlier in the game he played A light in the Darkness and discovered a minion and I drew into Entomb. Turn 9, I Reno for 22 health and I play Thoughtsteal and copy Baron Geddon & Sea Giant from his deck. Turn 10 he plays a 7/7 C'Thun and ends his turn. I Entomb C'thun and play Yeti. My next turn I play the good Baron Geddon and the Paladin concedes at that point.

The final game was against the fourth Druid of my run. The game ended when Y'Shaarj pulled North Sea Kraken onto the board.

 

Started rogue run off 11-0.

Finished 11-3.

The tilt is real.

 

Was worried I didn't have enough 2-drops for this draft. Didn't get many options for them, and when I did get a couple they were completely overshadowed by better options for a higher mana cost.

HOWEVER.

Turns out that 2-drops don't matter when you have three flamestrikes.

I'm doing a Hunter arena and I managed to draft webspinner, tomb spider and tundra rhino. I was able to do the Dream combo of tundra rhino + spider turn 7 where I discovered giant sand worm and on turn 8 I worm'd 3 minions and went face for the win.

I actually had a legitimately good Yogg earlier. Ten-or-so spells, empty board, and all that happened was Yogg being buffed to a 14/9 through Kings, Mark of Y, Demonwrath, and Power o/t Wild. Didn't overdraw (did draw two - AI popped up), didn't lose too much health (4 for me, 8 for him)... It was a true miracle.

 

I swear, as soon as I pull Yogg (or get incredibly bored and craft it), I'm just going to play a bunch of stupid Yogg decks for the hell of it.

 

That arena feel when you get 15 damage off a turn 1 Dust Devil.

 

But why would you have a Dust Devil in the first place.
