Lately, I started to suspect that D&D may not only do many things differently when compared to the books, but will actually use some of more popular theories and speculations, even if they're wrong. Dany's immunity to fire is this kind of change and Jon being resurrected by Mel could be. R+L=J too, if in the books there is a twist to that. I'm quite convinced we will get Cleganebowl in the show and definitely not get it in the books. And I wouldn't be surprised if there is an anticlimactic finale instead of a massive battle against the Others, but there will definitely be one against the White Walkers.

Comparing these changes could be a lot of fun once the books are finally published.

So what do you guys think about Ramsay's lack of skill when it comes to peeling an apple? He literally took the meat of the fruit with the skin. And taking the meat while flaying is bad... Lol.

So now that Osha's dead, can Asha have her book name back? :colbert:

Nah, Book-Asha doesn't really want to be associated with the Show, so she insisted they not use her name. She hates the Show, even though ironically they handled the the Iron Islands storyline better than most.

Btw, am I the only one who finds it weird they brought Osha back after two seasons, only to unceremoniously kill her after, like, two scenes? Seems kind of like a waste.

What's more annoying is her attempt at seduction to escape makes me doubt the Umbers have some grand plan to backstab Ramsay.

Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner may have revealed four spoilers in 'two truths and a lie’ game.

    Maisie Williams:

    1. ‘Arya goes to Westeros, back over the sea.’

    2. ‘Arya is in the trailer more times than people have realised, because they don’t realise it’s her.’

    3. ‘Arya doesn’t cross any more names off her list.’

    All are very possible.

I would say that 2 is certain. 1 and 3 are joined and if one is false then the other is going to be true.

    Sophie Turner:

    1. ‘Ramsay dies.’

    2. ‘Lady Stoneheart returns.’

    3. ‘Arya checks three people off her list.’

Much more intriguing list. While 1 is expected, both 2 and 3 are big.

My guess 2 is a lie because I doubt there is a place for Lady Stoneheart in the show. At the same time there is not much time for Arya to go back to Westeros and kill three characters in this season since she's going to be in be in Braavos at least till episode 7.

Book Asha would have butchered half-naked Ramsay instead of just sitting back watching him. And they've wasted quite a few characters, killing of Roose, Doran and now Osha. I think the show writers are rushing to close off some plot-lines, to the detriment of the story as a whole, I feel.

I actually liked some of the early changes the show made from the books, or at least didn't mind them. Many were necessary to adapt such a sprawling work to television; others like the early Robert+Cersei conversation were good and provided more depth to both characters. Point is, I'm no book purist.

The more recent changes though? Eurgh. The Dorne storyline was especially dire, though I should have expected that from the moment Indira Varma showed up. (It's not that she's a terrible actress, I just always seem to hate the characters she plays: GOT, Luther, Rome, Human Target, no exceptions)

I remember the season trailer showing the Frey's at dinner, and I could've sworn that someone mentioned that Thoros was going to be back this season. So, I think Lady Stoneheart is going to show up.

Based on theories and rumours, I was expecting it to happen and yet it still managed to be the saddest scene in the entire series for me.

So episode 5 leaked online. Yeah, I watched it. Fuck waiting till tomorrow.

I think the origin of White Walkers was kind of unerwhelming, the scene didn't have enough bang for me. Completely overshadowed by Hodor's origin, which was incredibly mind-screwy. Wtf, mind-time-travel? Bran warged into Hodor while viewing the memory, causing the memory boy to become Hodor, which leads to present time Hodor being Hodor, who only was that way because Bran screwed with his head decades before he was even Born? This is some next level shit. Even the HP time loop didn't throw me off course like this because, you know, THE LOOP DIDN'T BEGIN BEFORE HARRY WAS BORN.

Dany/Jorah/Daario scene kind of rode the fence between touching and cringey for the first minute or so and I think Dany's "I command you to heal yourself" was like wat, that's helpful, yeah sure, I'll just go and find the cure for greyscale, but in the end the touching won. Slightly. Stannis' daughter (don't even remember her name) was kind of cured of greyscale as in she didn't die, so maybe maybe?

The beginning scene let me down. I was chanting "Kill him, killhim killhim kilimkilimkilim" when Sansa was contemplating Unleashing the Brienne on Littlefinger and then didn't. Thumbs down for that, D&D.

Liked the Kingsmoot. Liked Grand Theft Warship. Liked how you need to almost drown to become the Iron King. Was meh on Euron's actor. I imagined he'd have a deeper voice, that he'd look more like a pirate than another Ironborn who, frankly, disappears into the crowd without the crown.

The stage play was funny, but I'm getting tired of the Faceless Men plot. I get that they probably need to train for years or whatever, but it's getting stale in the show. Faceless Men founded Braavos, I guess that's cool trivia. Can we have more murder please?

Tyrion-in-Meereen continues to be disappointingly boring. Fine, the new Red Priestess was hot, but as far as Red Priests go, Thoros was way more interesting. We've already had a mysterious hot lady who somehow knows things she couldn't possibly know and I'm done. Like, yawn.

Overall, good episode. Season 6 finally hit its stride last week and continues to be satisfying on the whole. Hodor pretty much crushed the bad in the episode because wtf.

Oh, and Dany has a new Dothraki army. Yay, I guess. "When I take the Seven Kingdoms, I need you by my side." Cool, can we get to conquering the Seven Kingdoms already? You have 8k Unsullied, 2k Second Sons, who knows how many Dothraki, point is, you have an army. Now go kill people.

And another Direwolf bites the dust. At this point I think D&D are trying to find ways to save budget, and the easiest way to do it is to cut out the direwolves. I'm going to be PISSED when they kill off Ghost (not that they ever show him doing anything in the show anyway)

Fuck, poor Hodor. Saddest character in the whole show after watching that. Also, confirmation that Bran can impact the past, but only things that were meant to happen, I guess? But the Night's King was able to touch him in the past, and put that mark on him.

Agreed with the above that the creation of the White Walkers was very underwhelming. They could've at least explained WHY the White Walkers went rogue; are they just pure evil? Were they corrupted by something? Perhaps they wanted to conquer and rule? Would've been nice to know what they are about.

I have a feeling that the White Walkers will be explained more.

My baseless theory so far though is that they want revenge for being turned into White Walkers in the first place. I think it would definitely follow the current theme of GOT.

First of all, how is Littlefinger able to get from the Vale to Moletown in between episodes? How long was he a teleporter?

Second of all, it was strangely dull watching the White Walkers get created. The effects felt kind of lame, they didn't really elaborate why the Children made the damn things, and we don't know how they went all evil.

Am I the only one wondering if D&D remember Nymeria the Direwolf still exists, even if it's just to kill her too?

As for that ending... Seven Hells, that was depressing. I honestly think this may be one of the best Show-Only things we've seen yet.
