The Frey scene was the only good one.

Of course this season fell off they don't have the books to work off of and the seperate route they are taking the show will fall short of asoiaf story line. Still the best show on tv though..I'm biased as it's the only "fictional" programming I watch

Incorrect, The Americans is the best show on TV.

It was a slow episode, but I think this season has actually been one of the better ones.

A slow episode, but most of it was a necessary set up for the future ones. I predict the next one will be similar, the 8th will speed up things, the 9th is to be a big battle of this season and rumours have it that the 10th is a massive bloodbath for the main characters.

As for what happened, I'm surprised that the writers decided to have Sam take Gilly and little Sam with him. I was expecting them to stay because there probably is no role for them to play in Oldtown.

After Arya's talk with the actress I'm pretty confident that predictions about her return to Westeros with the troupe are correct. What remains to be seen is whether she will have the Faceless Men coming after her or she will somehow deal with them in this season. Maybe steal Waif face and report to Jaqen as her? Though, assuming she would finally be able to lie to him, that would only be a temporary solution since the point is to escape them, not be one of them as someone else. That said, it would be fitting since they're suppose to be No One anyway.

I doubt Benjen is Coldhands in the books, but I suspect the way he was transformed is the same for both.

Jaime is finally going to have his book adventures, but as I mentioned before, I doubt he will get his redemption in the show.

I was unsure about it before, but this episode all but confirmed that the High Sparrow is going down soon. Like with Ramsay there simply is nothing more he can achieve and with how things are changing I don't expect their rule to be a longer status quo.

Apparently GRRM read a completely new chapter recently. Mostly it confirms that Euron is an evil bastard and there are few visions in it that the readers will speculate about for some time.

Also, I distantly remember a discussion on DLP about possible existence of armours made of Valyrian steel. Well, they're canon now.

Next week looks interesting. I saw banners for Houses Mormont and Glover. Bronn is finally back. I think Tormund is trying to convince the wildlings to fight for Jon.

I swear, whenever Daenarys is on the back of her dragon I hear the Never-ending Story song playing in my head.

Once Cersei wins her trial she's going to unleash the Mountain, or do something to crush the sparrows.

The possible titles for the last three episodes of the sixth season. There were just a rumour few days ago, but the 8th is now confirmed.

    8th - No One
9th - The Battle of the Bastards
10th - The Winds of Winter

So, pretty sure the Stone Dragons are in the crypts of Winterfell. Here's an excerpt out of The World of Ice and Fire:

In my binge-watching of GRRM interviews he said that the Maestors underrated Mushroom's histories but that he was right more than he was wrong. The follow-up to say that the hot springs are heated by the same thing that heats the Fourteen Flames in the heart of Valyria seals it for me.

I also read a theory that Westeros is going to be plagued by stonemen because of Connington bringing Greyscale over. The greyscale epidemic will be as bad for the South as the white walkers are to the North etc. Forget where I read it.

Sansa seems distressed about how few numbers the Starks seem to have so she sends a letter to the Vale. I wonder how difficult a landing in a frozen land with few ports will be for Sansa's so called allies when even Northern armies will have problem moving from point A to point B.
Knowing the writers' work till date points to a sudden mass of men and animals descending upon a beleaguered Stark midget army to save the day. Given how recklessly idiotic show-Ramsay has been : how the hell are all other Northern lords still
    doing so little?
Forgetting even feudal lords' obligation and loyalty for their overlords(which is weirdly strong in ASOIAF,sometimes), it is a golden chance for being a kingmaker and gain influence and lands by ripping the Boltons (or what is left of them) apart.

Finally, can anyone provide an explanation as to why would lords of the vale put a significant contingent for even some time?
Do they expect to get lands? Marriages?

As I guessed it was another slower episode. Pretty much everything was a setup. The next one though, well, there will be a violence. A lot of it.

I'm a little surprised there was no, shortened for the TV, 'the broken men' speech.

I enjoyed that cold open. Mainly because that character's return made me way too happy. Perhaps we now know how the UnMountain/Robert Strong meets his end.

I'm convinced it will happen in the show though not in this season. Probably not going to happen in the books.

There is some speculation going on whether or not it was really Arya in this episode. It's based on her open behaviour when she should be hiding her actions, but I wouldn't be surprised if the writers decided to not bother with something like that.

The other thing that convinces me a little is time she will need to heal. While the show certainly likes to speed up things, as they did with Jon and Sansa's recruitment, having Arya recover this kind of wound and then fight in the same episode may be a little too quick.

Of all the theories, I especially liked the Fight Club one where the Waif is a fractured personality of Arya that she created shortly after joining the Faceless Men. It doesn't really hold up, but it would be a nice twist if it was planned from the start.

Greatly enjoyed Blackfish's casual badassery and Lady Mormont's spunk. Arya's "What do you care?" ranks highly as well. I'm waiting for her to return to Westeros and team up with Sansa and Jon. Also, was pleasantly surprised by Theon's stare - that look said a lot.

King's Landing was underwhelming and I'm meh on the Hound's return. I don't need him to have a redemption arc. He got such a great send off in S4 that seeing him again was more off-putting than not.

Perhaps the greatest thing about this episode was the lack of Meereen.

See, that's the thing. I'm all for the Bastardbowl, but I don't give a rat's ass about Zombie vs Lumberjack.

Is anyone else kind of sick of Olenna? Everyone seems to love her but she hasn't actually done anything since killing Joffrey and her opposition to Cersei in the latest episode made no sense. Sure, Cersei should never be trusted by anyone, but they were willing to work together literally just one episode ago and Loras, the only heir to Highgarden, is still a prisoner and presumably being straight up tortured. It feels like they sacrificed what would make sense for the character - I'm sure she's well acquainted with working with people she hates, she was happy enough dealing with Tywin - so they could get more 'sassy' lines.
