Lack of confidence? Her stomach was literally cut open and bleeding.

You're arguing semantics. By fleeing to the room she'd stashed her sword, she was luring waif to her death, seeing as that was the only way she could think of to kill her. It wasn't by chance that she arrived there. You're saying the same thing, but you were disappointed by not enough 'cool' one-liners.

Besides, we've seen what over-reliance on one-liners and dramatic performance does to people. Dany is that way.

    Yes, I am.

Because IMO, it would have been better that way. You are free to disagree.

Yeah, Id rather we just had less dinklage than some of the shit we got this season. The telling jokes and drinking scene, was just completely pointless.

Disappointed in blackfish, would have at least liked to see his final fight.

The waif and arya scene went just about how I expected it to. Some people read too much into the show and its writers.

I don't know, it was a decent episode.

I expected Arya say "not today" and was dissapointed.

Plus "I choose violance" line was another dissaopintment. 2 in one episode makes a dull episode.

I recently read a quite good theory, even if it's a little too into 'everything is connected' and 'Littlefinger is behind everything' territory.

Petyr was the one who informed Brandon, who was just returning to Riverrun, of Lyanna's abduction. Or rather "abduction" because he was fully aware that she went with the Prince willingly and lied to get his rival into trouble with the royal family. Of course, it was a very young Littlefinger, not a master manipulator he's now and everything that happened afterwards wasn't in any way planned. It did show him just how much one person, even him, can affect the fate of the whole Seven Kingdoms with just few words.

How could that even happen? Pretty sure he had been banished from Riverrun by then.

He stayed there for some time, recovering from his wound enough to go back to the Fingers. He could meet Brandon on his way there though the question is where he would get the knowledge of what happened with Lyanna.

This seems like an answer in search of a question. There's nothing particularly interesting about how Brandon learned that Lyanna was taken. The proximate cause of the rebellion was not Brandon acting foolish, it was Aerys anointing fire as his champion in the trial by combat and calling for the heads of Ned and Robert.

Yeah, two weeks. Then he was banished to the Vale - between the marriage to Arryn at the beginning of the war and Lysa not even telling Hoster about the kid until after Petyr had left, doesn't seem like Petyr could have possibly been at Riverrun to meet Brandon.

You wouldn't think giant dragons burning shit could be made boring, but you'd be wrong. North parts were great though. Dat ending.

The episode did not surprise at all. The battle went exactly as every other post on the internet said it would be. Is it so hard to show a decent battle that does not have bodies piling up like garbage?
For all the hype this episode was disappointing just five minutes into the battle. We are all rid of Ramsay-Sue at least.

I know it was necessary for dramatic effect, but I think Jon should be a little pissed that Sansa didn't mention the extra couple thousand knights she had lying around.

How did Sansa ride all the way with nobody else being alerted?

@Khan, I found Dany's chapters to be among the most tedious in the books as well. Luckily it looks like she's going to finally leave Meereen, possibly arriving in Westeros by early next season.

The Snowbowl annoyed me because they have Jon Snow looking like an idiot who basically got all of his men killed because he was angry. It was thrilling and all, but I thought it was somewhat undercut by that. Jon has a ton of problems with his leadership style, but his actual tactical skill is not to blame.

Also, duh duh duh duh duh
    Another Stark bites the dust.

My military history is a bit hazy, but during the battle plan meeting did Davos suggest they pull off a Hannibal at Cannae?

From next weeks preview I assume that Jon and Sansa are going to have words. Also, is it pointless that I'm still hoping that the Brotherhood & Stoneheart shows up at the Twins right as Walder makes that toast?

    I can't even...

Why are you running in one direction Rickon? Why? Seriously after the first arrow hit at his feet, why the hell didn't he start running in an unpredictable pattern? Arrows have quite a long hang time. Do the Starks even deserve to have Winterfel? I think there is something wrong with their genes.

    Also

Sansa was still at the camp. The knights probably arrived at the camp for reinforcements, and she lead them into battle. Sansa didn't have a secret army of knights. They arrived just in time.

Not really, any attempt to pull a Cannae depends on luring the army and being able to encircle the enemy. You cannot do this easily without cavalry use. There was no mention as to how the cavalry was to be used. Davos wanted there knights to charge recklessly but in reality people hardly do that into the teeth of a prepared foe with the flanks secured. At Cannae Hannibal used his cavalry to send the Romans on a merry chase, something Jon could not have done(and did not do). So mush hype wasted in such a manner. I wonder what happens now that the Vale is here and Sansa seems to be doing her own stuff.
