People latched onto Cersei's, a confirmed nutso's, interpretation of it and won't let go.

Also "valonqar" means "little brother", not brother. Jaime is the younger of the twins.

I'm not a person who fears spoilers, so nothing in this episode was a surprise to me. Yet the build up to the Great Sept explosion was amazing and kept me on the edge of seat anyway.

It's nice to finally have the confirmation that R+L=J. And while I'm more than fine with Jon being the King in the North, there is only one White Wolf and that's definitely not him. :p

After such an amazing introduction I expect we will stay in the Old Town for much longer in the next season.

Queen Cersei is not going happen in the books, but if Dorne could happen in the show, then why not this. She certainly will be a good villain to Dany as her opposite.

That said, who exactly is suppose to oppose the Mother of Dragons? Dorne and Tyrells alone could destroy Lannisters or by on equal terms if we assume Jaime can force some support from Riverrun. Add everything else with three dragons on top and the invasion should be over before it even started. Which is why I suspect that Euron will show up before Dany reaches Westeros, deals some serious damage and maybe steals a dragon. I wouldn't be surprised if then he makes his offer to Cersei and we would have an union of two maddest monarchs in the show.

Jon on the other hand will be busy with the Others and Sansa with Littlefinger. I don't expect they will ever fight any war in the south though it would be an amazing scene where Dany's army crashes with Snow's and he has this crazy plan to kill a dragon. It almost works before he realizes he can control it. That's too much of a fanfiction probably, though not as much as 100k Wildings vs 100k Dothraki I plan to write one day. ;)

For someone who was suppose to finally find herself, Arya really went into crazy land be it her actions and her reactions to it. I would say she's going to kill Cersei next, but that's almost certainly going to be Jaime.

Last thing, Olenna putting the Sand Snakes in their place was probably a fanservice, but it was a joy anyway.

Yes, you're correct, but so far prophecies have all been a little misleading, like how Marwyn describes them in the books. I'd like just one where people hear it, believe it means something, and are completely right. Of course the whole gold crowns/ shrouds thing in the same prophecy might already qualify, but I feel like having almost every prophecy defy expectations cheapens them. I can see Jaime killing Cersei, but from what we've seen so far it's just so foreshadowed.

I dunno... i think Jaime doing it would be way more meaningful to their character arcs. Like the whole thing with the Lannisters is that family comes first; they're taught to protect and promote the family name over everything else. Jaime and Cersei have always put their relationship with each other above that though.

How poetic would it be if Jaime finally owned up to his role as the Lannister heir by tearfully executing Cersei right before she does something that would essentially destroy the seven kingdoms and vis-a-vis the Lannisters themselves?

One more thing, Miguel Sapochnik really needs to return in the next season. In my opinion he's the best director this show has.

I'm sure quite a few people have seen this theory, but it was an interesting read nonetheless, so here ya go.

    Before we hear

If Robert finds out, he'll kill him. You know he will.

She says something that includes "his name," if I caught it correctly. You have to turn the volume up and the music gets in the way but maybe you can catch more.

I really liked that R+L=J wasn't confirmed until Jon was elected King, it's a good way of showing that people believe in Jon for more than the house he was born into.

For how much I've disliked most of the season (in part because of putting all these plot threads on hold/filling it out with filler and action) this finale was my shit. I was so happy the entire time. I don't think there's actually anything I disliked about it whatsoever. Good job all around to them.

Seriously, the music in this episode was on another level.

Anyone else feel like Arya has been built up into this badass young female character for six seasons only to be eclipsed by Lyanna Mormont in three scenes?

I only absorb GoT through osmosis lately, but isn't she just getting started? As in her 'pay-off' has only just begun.

Not a bad intro. Would have drawn out Frey's suffering, personally.

Music was amazing. Me and my friends were looking at each other, wondering why the score was so different from the usual subtle stuff during Cersei's scenes. Just overt and in your face. The payoff with that was just so satisfying.

When she said "His name is.." it sounded, and looked that his name began with an "A".

It's probably supposed to be Aegon and that's their way of alluding to his character.

The finale was full of win and awesome. I disagree the sentiments of most in regards to Jaime and Cersei.
Their shared look was difficult to decipher. To me it isn't a clear-cut thing that Cersei should be blamed for

Tommen's Suicide. She kept him from the sept and had someone look over him. The minute they left, he jumped. Not necessarily something that could have been anticipated.

I did find the High Sparrow's shocked, confusion at Margery and the unfolding situation a little wierd. Up until that point the actor has been frigging awesome. This scene just didn't make sense to me.
All in all a good season though I think they need to work on portraying the passage of time. I couldn't tell you if these events take place over a one month or twelve.

    It made things like
Arya's sudden appearance at the Frey's
all the more confusing. Though things like this can easily explained as individual storylines aren't necessarily running in parrallel.

The only big part of the season I disliked was that everything for Dany was so easy and convenient. Burns every dothraki leader alive because she's fireproof. Has all her ships burned? It's ok time for more to show up. Brings stability to the East. Gets Highgarden and Dorne on her side without even meeting with them.

I understand that the show has to wrap things up but I wish there was more of a struggle on the Iron Islands so that Dany doesn't get 500 ships so easily. Or I wish that it was more than just the Lannisters vs everyone else in the world when Dany comes.

Because right now Dany's gonna show up to Kings Landing with a huge army, kill everything then fight the white walkers. It's turned into too much of a fairy tale/classic fantasy where things always work out for the protagonist in the end.

I liked everything about the finale, but my favorite scene was Cersei's coronation. The music and visuals in it, the final shot of her on the Iron Throne, lit up behind the dimmed foreground - I want a poster of that image.

Jon's KINGINDANORF was awesome, made even more so by Lady Mormont, but I still prefer Robb's more. There's just something about the original that gets me every time.

But yeah, one of the best GoT episodes.
