    Votals:

Ok, I've talked about real wagons, but lump wagons are a mess.

How the heck are the 3 people that are viable lynches for today ALL off in the middle of nowhere with their Lump votes. Jan Delphine Bill Door Consolidate please.

How is the leading lump wagon on the only person with multiple votes that /isn't/ voting themselves? We need to threaten it, but the optimal result here does not include the Priest outing on Day2.

    ---------- Post automerged at 14:28 ---------- Previous post was at 14:26 ----------

Ok, so what does that say about my alignment?

What does that say about Jan's alignment?

What does that say about Delphine's alignment?

    Suggest a useful thought exercise.

    Don't make me pull teeth.

    TBH, I'd lump you citrus.
My record on reading you is not stellar, and I didn't like your predecessor.
But if you're town, I'd love to have you around for a bit.

    Uhh! Uhh!

    Citrus explain! Explain!

I don't want to say everything .. but you have the three people with the msot votes in your town.

How about why are they town? (Bill, Delphine and myself)

We can then move forwards from there. (Von as scum is a very out there read to say the least)

I probably picked up mixed color walls from the last site I played on The purpose is that the color is literally the quality of those reads, to me, and I found putting it in that form a helpful visual representation for me. Waco was initially null-meh to me for reasons I've detailed previously but I like his recent analysis. Sesc is both townier and scummier than weiyaoli and they are really different qualitatively to me but they are both null tier.

Coasty on the first night of the game. Why did you vote Sesc in particular?

    Harder in what way?

My issue is that I don't understand the timeline/trajectory of your read on her. You give better reasons for scumreading her early in the game than for townreading her (the Von read and playing-to-the-audience with Sesc) and yet seem predisposed to coming around to a townread on her. I would believe that you organically came to that read and to your view of the same townreads more if you had approached criticism to it differently. The fact that her Atum read is reminiscent of a certain towngame for you fills in some of the blanks but it's not clear to me when you decided that and how that's different from her von read.

I just went through your iso looking for something I thought you had said about Kai and can't find it. I think I didn't understand your political reference (because I have it noted as a "Trump reference" when I'm now pretty sure it's about any Republican that isn't Trump) and then after sleeping just thought that my conclusion on what you said was what you actually said.

Can you be clearer on why Kai's reaction to lump is more likely to come from scum? My understanding was that you were pointing out a Bill<->Kai connection based on Bill deflecting lump from Kai but I feel like I'm missing your actual point.

    Ok. That makes more sense.

Lack of a coherent narrative is a lot related to the fonti stuff I mentioned. I can't make sense of when you actually decided fonti was always town and your reaction to people dissing your defense of the towncircle. Like, I don't know fonti and you as well as you know each other and pregame I could have told you that coming to the same reads as her without trying to beat her to them would make you look good to her but not necessarily the rest of the game. (Which may also make you town.) The problem is that you seeming really pleased with yourself about it, particularly because you seemed to switch to appeasing people that called you out for it afterward, strikes me as a less genuine way of going about it.

That doesn't seem mechanically true from what I understand? Is it?

This feels like a strawman to me but I can't tell if we just have completely different perspectives on MM6!me (though you did just iso me, so like.) I am never going to experience mafia that way ever again if I can help it for several reasons that I think you should know, and would opt to "pack my backs" over that.

My life circumstances have changed (sharing a computer is part of it) such that I am more inconsistently active. I like it less than you do.

Can you consolidate your Bill stance for me?

So the most noteworthy thing in the early game (up to around #100) about Jan is actually him being fairly non-committal. Good examples in #102 -

A fair enough point, and similarly with his bit about missing Von's first post, just the result is he ended up saying: "could be this, could be that, dunno".

All this is fair enough as this time frame took place in RVS/slightly after we came out of RVS, but I do slightly take more issue with the parking of his RVS/prodding vote on Sesc. He brings up legit points that he could have moved onto (tom's groups in #102, or bill unvoting reaverb in #111 or even reaverb in #129 when I prodded him about who he found suspicious) and did something more with but didn't end up doing so.

    #129 itself is a bit bleh -
Bit on Delphine and tom again basically goes the same as before, fair enough, maybe he didn't have that strong of a read, but not voting for reaverb or Bill from his post here is a bit puzzling.

I like his responses to Snowvon here actually (#132/137).

Not sure how objective this point is likely to be but it's strange to be honest that he actually then ended up voting for me as his first non RVS vote (#141). I say strange, because it's not like he was avoiding being the first vote on a wagon on someone he was suspicious of (i.e Bill), or avoiding hopping onto a wagon (i.e. Reaverb). So he must have thought I was much more certain to be scum over those two?

I again like his #154, good questions to tom and sesc.

He's got this loop regarding fonti clearing Von and Atum that I don't recall anyone actually ended up commenting on. It's a bit convoluted to me, as I can perfectly see fonti doing that as w/w, which Jan dismisses, but I'd have to defer to the rest of you who have more experience playing with fonti.

Don't understand why his vote is on kai and he is still lumping kai. Looking at his reasoning after being asked by Von (#277), I still don't quite understand. Mostly because the votes theoretically say he is pushing for a kai lynch and a kai check. But this way around just shows his passivity (okay with Bill lynch but not pushing for one, okay with kai lynch but not pushing for someone else he might want to check).

Still of two minds about bringing up a certain thing about Jan. So just [redacted] for now.

Moving onto his read wall in #250, I find his towny town reads okay, consistent and belivable (Von and fonti - and ignoring the read on Atum for now, since I'm not that familiar to fonti meta). But his scum reads:

Jan, could you elaborate on this please? Using some examples?

Why do you think Bill doesn't want the lump?

The most puzzling to me exchange follows. I thought Reaverb was in a different colour and on the bottom of Jan's list because he was inactive and therefore not much to talk about, but Waco interpreted this as Reaverb being the scummiest in Jan's eyes and asked/prodded about this.

So if I'm right, there should have been an easy defence to point out to Waco, but Jan doesn't use it, so I'm not sure I'm right anymore. In the scenario that Waco points out, his points make a lot of sense that Jan struggles to explain away.

For the next bit (Up to #315/317ish), I'm not sure I can tell the difference between scum!Jan and town!Jan getting super frustrated with the thread in general.

Okay, that took waaay longer than I expected, and I've not even looked at the last few pages. Need to take a quick break for now since I'm actually skipping a family dinner party with family friends atm.

So in general so far, I can't say I liked much of Jan's posting D1. I'd be happy with lynching Jan based on what I've seen (baring in mind I've not seen anything he's posted in the last two pages or so), but I really need to go back and finish his iso and reread Bill too and compare things.
