Actually, let me just be explicit here.

So, right now you're pushing a Cobalt/fonti world.

A lot of your "reads" are just something like, "Post 429293. Player X did Y." Then at the end you have your "this is what I think about this player's alignment", wholly disconnected from the first part. You're missing the step where you explain why the things you're saying happened lead to the conclusions that you got to.

Let's say you're town and absolutely 100% correct, that you've nailed the team, and that it's fonti/Cobalt. You seem to think you'd get some kind of points or kudos for this.

If you're right, you've A) gotten a correct read, B) failed to convince anyone of this read, and C) gotten mildly/moderately scumread in the process. Even if you're right, you've failed at two of the three pillars of being town.

"Being correct" is the least important aspect of being town. "Making yourself obviously town" and "convincing other people to believe in your reads" are vastly, vastly more important. This is a team game; we win or lose as a group. The quality of your reads means precisely nothing if you can't push them effectively or make your thoughts transparent enough to be read as town.

So, even if you're right, you get no points from me.

Which is a shame, because I'm kinda coming around on the notion of you being town just for sheer obstinacy.

If I can just work the sheer obstinacy angle into getting Cobalt lynched I'll have been succesfull in the end. Assuming he's ww of course.

Not the way I imagined I'd go about it, but this is my first town game. It'll get better. It'll probably be easier to heed people's advice after this game when I'm not working around them maybe being scum anyways.

Newcomb, this is completely outside this game, but I do think that considering this is his second game ever, you shouldn't be too hard on him.

    Back to the game.

Jarizok I'm very confused about your reads now. Newcomb seems to be under the impression that your read is font/cobalt. You mentioned me/font as a world earlier.

Can you tell me which world you're pushing for? Because right now it kinda seems to me like you have a lot of scumreads and not a lot of townreads. And your townread on Koalas isn't even a real townread.

I actually will be able to be around, because I fudged my way into bringing my laptop.

I feel like I'm souring the mood of the game at this point. Just lynch me and get it over with, I'm not enoying playing anymore. Sorry for ruining it. Merry Christmas all.

    That wasn't...

Jarizok that's not me being hard on you or calling you it, it's trying to explain to you why you going "guys trust me I'm town" is not doing it for me.

It's not that, it's just like I feel like I'm slogging my way through it and it's wrong or bad. That's not an enjoyable experience. There's a learning curve with this game and going through the bad bit on christmas eve is not what I wanna be doing. Again, sorry, but really, enjoy the holidays guys :)

Usually this is one of the easier parts, compared to the other stuff you're doing. Your learning curve is little wack.

The scum experience probably doesn't help.

He would. But you're assuming a medium level of planning in Day chat. And that there's a single layer to Jarizok's posts.

---------- Post automerged at 06:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:22 PM ----------

And if we're assuming a single layer there's a significant number of 'I am town' posts for you to examine.

I really, really don't like the trend this game of, "get voted on/run up, AtE".
