    Okay, so Math in #121

"Looks like you and Snow may be a team. There is something I want to review here when I get the chance more. Looks too prepared. Don't like it." at Typhon.

Math obviously wasn't the only one to not like how Typhon imitated Von, but they're the only one who actually align Von and Typhon for it. I'm not sure you can link a person to a random person imitating them, but if you really work at the "too prepared" maybe you could get something out of it?

Of course Von is basically universally townread now so this looks maybe worse in hindsight? One thing we can say is that Math is not afraid to go against the current.

Math doesn't like Miner either, which I agreed with at that point. But I think Font was the one to start that up there so don't want to give Math too much credit for it.

Townreads Koalas. "Call it gut." I did not like that at all, but Fonti posts exactly 1 minute later saying that Math is Obv!town.

miner11121 I'm probs not doing another massive case today. Those take a fair bit of time to construct, and my read on math is more shallow than my read on you anyway - it mostly exists because literally nothing they've done have pinged me as towny, my towncircle thinks they're scummy, and it fits perfectly with what I thought about fluff earlier.

In concert, that's good enough for me for now. I'll have to bone up if we really move to lynch her today, but I'd rather have you or fluff at the moment.

I made two cases on Math, miner. :I

Q, look at the game. Math's past meta is not enough for me to overlook their behavior and posts here. It would be one thing if you had more experience with them, but I played with them, too. Probably more. And I disagree.

I'll also link fluff's scumgame when I get home. Scumreading him for NAI behavior is icky, and I know I was scumreading him earlier but I'm not feeling it anymore.

Also Q your phone posts are a pain to read. :x

Koalas did you ever give me a scum team?

I've backed off of you because of something (honestly can't remember what now, probably have it noted somewhere) from miner of fluff that made me think you guys were pobably unaligned, but that's a thin read contingent on me being right about him. Give me some stuff that makes me townread you, plz.

I don't like this post at all! It's just... in #121 Math attacks Von's lump campaign because townie people shouldn't get lump, scumleans should to confirm their alignment, and then they lump Koalas who they are townreading pretty hard. Also don't agree that people shouldn't be obvtown. They should. If that means scum kill them because they're unlikely to get mislynched then that's a good thing, at least they're not rolehunting then. Don't agree with the Von vote but I can appreciate sticking your neck out on a read.

I was down with the Typhonhunting at the time but in retrospect maybe it feels a bit opportunistic. If I was scum I'd think Typhon a nice target for a mislynch and WHAAAAT MINER COULD TOTALLY BE SCUM. Shit.

Damn it. Now I feel bad for jumping on board of that train. What both Math and Miner attacked Typhon on and I agreed with is no less valid, but I only now realize that it's a very nice in for scum to build a mislynch out of.

Just gonna reevaluate for a second.

I mean...you definitely have more experience with them. But after AYAW I'm not inclined to just bow to that.

It's not even that I like Math. I don't, I think their tone has been off and I'm unimpressed with their hunting/approach entirely.

I just feel like a lot of the points you were specifically pointing out aren't valid.

Trust me: I hate them more than you.

Jarizok wait you agreed with Math's attack in 121? The post they hit him on is one that first got me liking Typhon.

Do me a favor and give a read on them then, with points that are valid.

    Like.

I don't know what else to tell you. What are you waiting for, for them to scumclaim? You don't like them but my points aren't good enough to get them lynched? I don't get it.

Typhon, you're not necessarily scum. The fact that you think that I absolutely one hundred percent believe you're scum is part of what worries me.The only reason I'm sticking to my guns to you is because you're the only one that I'm at all above ~60% sure is scum on.

I don't know if anyone who has played with me before notices, but I'm a very all-or-nothing type player.

I tunnel and tunnel when I think I have something until I'm sure(they die, cop check, they clear themselves, etc.) that I'm wrong.

This is not optimal town play. I freely admit that. It's why I said that this is bad, and that I'm going to avoid doing this in the future.

So like, Typhon, understand that I don't think that you're definitely scum.

But also understand that I'm very had to persuade otherwise because I can see a lot of things, and currently I find it difficult to see something else.

Now, you wanted me to look at your fluff post. So here's my thoughts on that:

It's amusing to me because the one part of your fluff post that pinged me to even consider fluff as scum is the one where you mentioned that fluff's non-posting is alignment neutral behavior.

fluff actually put in a token effort before being replaced out in AYAW 4, and he did mention that he wanted to eventually shed his reputation of being a lurker.

So I /guess/ it's strange that he's gone back to his lurking lifestyle. But inertia is a thing and yeah.

Now, I'm going to shelve the demon/Typhon world, since it's obviously not going anywhere right now.

    Let's look at other people.

Waco- I can't say I have that strong of an impression of Waco either way. He hasn't really been in thread, and the few times he's had he did give off an impression of asking pertinent questions and game-solving. But I respect Waco as a player to think that he could probably fool me with what he's saying.

font- I've always had trouble reading font. She totally stuck me in her pocket last game with her "a look at my mafia history" post, and the only reason I hammered her in F3 was because I thought it was literally impossible for Koalas to be aligned with Cobalt.
This game, I /feel/ as though she is town. This is very much provisional, especially depending on how long she lives in this game. This read is also (I will freely admit) very much supported by other people like Von vouching for her. Sort of.

Jarizok- Feels very town. Good content, solid postcount, and most importantly, he's trying things with his posts. Most importantly, tonally I think he's town. I've now played in a game where we were both town, and a game where we were both mafia. I'd like to think that I'd know him on both sides of the game. I think he's town.

Koalas- I don't like the fonti push early. Especially this:
Like, Koalas and everyone else knows that fonti's reads aren't the basis for her votes.

And snarkiness is.. like what she lives off of.

    ^Why he's orange.

Mathblade- I don't like her townread of Koalas, for obvious reasons. Other than that, yeah I agree that the way they buddied me onto Typhon was weird. And the Von scumread is like... false.

Hm. I'd maybe move them to orange.

I realize I haven't gotten to everyone, but these are the people I can do now. If you want my particular opinion on any one particular person, ping me and I'll try to get to it.

    Answering questions:

If F3 was between fluff and math, I'd lynch Math given only what we have today. While I don't like the way fluff has played today, I'd be more worried that Math survived that late into the game given her content today.

I'd probably lynch in Koalas or Math outside of those two. Or maybe fluff.

Honestly, just go look at my readwall. It still stands.

    Typhon/demon/?? fluff??

Town: Von, Jarizok, Quid, maybe font, maybe Jan.

    Side note:
Koalas/font would be hilarious, but I don't think that's the case, mostly because I think font is town.

Snowvon I'm basically waiting for Math to turn up andpost. My view on them is basically entirely gut/tone.

    So here's where I'm at.

Miner is scum. I'm pretty certain on that one.

Fluff feels scummy for individual things he's said/deflected on. BUT his tone is really nonchalant, unconcerned. I don't remember how he's played in the past, so I'm basically just working from a blank slate here, and that doesn't seem like a situation he'd be in as scum. He's not even really engaging with any attacks on him, he just doesn't care.

Mathblade is basically the opposite. They feel scummy because the way he's approaching this is not in keeping with his normal approach. They're not giving fluff, not engaging cheerfully with others. Like here they goes quickly to Von, then Typhon, then Miner, and it's all really aggressive. Push push push, as it were.

Even as they switch to Kalas, calling him town, there's this:

Like, there's nothing positive, and this pattern basically continues. This is what I meant when I called them jagged earlier, there's a lacking joviality to it.

miner11121 So you found no merit in any of the things I mentioned about fluff, and the quoted posts from him seemed normal apart from being sparse? Just clarifying.
