I was only upset about fontis play that time because we were in a good spot before and it nearlly did cost me my life (and us the game).
I dislike waking up to stuff like that and not being able to actually join the thread because i would just be asked to roleclaim etc.

Outside of that I normally keep risky and funky plays in the back of my head .. and if the situation is dire i might use it.

But I am unsure if i would do it like that or try to soup someone else first and have the missed soup on me as 2nd or third .. because that looks way more plausible!

You are fairly set about the wacon/fonti thing at the moment.

If one of them flips town, how does your read on the other person change?
(waco flipping town, is fonti more or less likely to be scum etc)

    ---------- Post automerged at 12:29 ---------- Previous post was at 12:24 ----------

In the tinfoil world where I am town.

Who would scum think I as dob would be shooting?
If the dob shoots the souping witch right after dying to the soup the soup should end, which makes it a somewhat big risk to soup when you are at the very bottom of the poe.
(and if they shoot the non-souping which then witches can never soup again, which is a very big risk)

Curious to hear some outside opinion, since my thoughts and my thread presence can be different at time.

Jan - Cheers for the additional meta I guess?

I'm far from 100% on it being Waco/Fonti, I just think that's a potential scum team that makes sense here, I can see a world where Fonti's also with Math as weird as that one would be and can see Waco potentially being with Fluff or Math/Fluff or even Kai in there if my weak town read on him is wrong.

Where I'm at right now though is that I don't see a scum team making that play last night unless one of Math/Waco are scum. Scum have little gain in souping that early over night killing unless they think they're in immediate danger and are taking a big risk. Even if their first soup was correct there's never a time you do one soup and stop (Doing such would be the same as making a night kill but removing your soup for later) which means whoever souped was willing to keep souping until they were revealed. I think lynching inside that duo (Math/Waco) is the play today.

Would like to hear what your thoughts are on that.

Yeah i k know my point was around thread presence, not reads.

I'm too tired to world build, but why those two specifically? Like, souoing is just nit a thing where i come from, but I don't get where this reasoning comes from.

Bed now so dont rush a response.

Oh. Xposted with yiur reply. I think you put it to strongly, I can see any scum within that bottom 3-4 souping as a hail mary from losing miner. I dont think a waco/Math d2 was as clear as youbelieve/believed from eod1.

I don't see Kai souping there, no one had an outright scum read on him whereas several other players were scum read; that reasoning combined with his reaction towards the night action make me think he's not mafia unless he's with one of those two anyway. I don't think Fonti actually soups there with her own life; at EOD yesterday she didn't have anyone scum reading her. I'll give it to you that Fluf might have but with who? Again one of those two.

---------- Post automerged at 06:45 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:41 AM ----------

I'll explain the part I think you're missing. I think scum that are in a bad position but don't necessarily think they're getting lynched today just normal night kill last night, play through today getting more information to get a better soup off and then soup N2. I think the fact we actually saw a soup N1 is because scum thought it was very likely they were getting lynched D2.

    1. Sadness. I was hoping for you to somewhat commit to that read.
But I get why might you need a set number of misslynches.

    2. I get why a scumteam is likely to be part of those.
But .. considering my behavior towards you yesterday .. I am unsure who they thought I would have shot if i was the dob.
I am so likely to shoot between those 2 and fluff. It is an immense risk to shoot the guy you believe to be the dob early on.

    ---------- Post automerged at 12:54 ---------- Previous post was at 12:48 ----------

Yeah well .. I defended Mathblade yesterday. Not hard defended, but I talked to people to realitycheck/factcheck me several times.

Fonti hard townread Waco most of the day.

I don't think scum were in that of a dire postion that you are painting here at the moment.

I don't think waco was that hard scumread by everyone. Sure he was in the poe .. but it was not as extreme.

    ---------- Post automerged at 12:59 ---------- Previous post was at 12:54 ----------

I think Mathblade is not telling the truth when talking about their soft ragarding my role etc.

But that is mostly because I don't think anyone reads the game that way and I don't think their love comment was ever meant for anything but the love is love comic.
    I just don't.

And fonti risking the game (again) on townreading a weak partner that is in the poe and lost their soup power?
She crashed and burned with cobalt being unable to post last game. Her doubling down on a waco townread today seems very very unlikely as w/w.

    ---------- Post automerged at 13:06 ---------- Previous post was at 12:59 ----------

    Vote Mathblade

    Back to this old game.

Mathblade/Miner scum is not my favourtie scumteam, because Mathblade being unwilling to push their counterwagon at the time seems so bad if they are close to getting lynched themselves.

If your team is going down in flames and ahrd scumread .. why not hard bus to give your partner some towncred?
Sure miner was the lump .. and Mathblade wanted Koalas lump at the time. That might be the reasoning for not scumreading Miner.

Might have to go through some of the votals when I don't feel like shit (cold on the verge of having fever. kind of annoying).

Jan - I have no idea who they thought you'd be on either. I also have no idea why out of all roles in the game to soup they'd start with DOB. I don't particuarly think your town read on Math was that noticable yesterday especially considering you voted her mid D1. If Wacos scum wit Fonti then its zero townies town reading him and if he's scum without her then it'd be a singular person to defend him only. I think if you go over the EOD yesterday there was at least 3-4 players expressing interest in lynching Waco.

I agree re; Maths talk about you softclaiming / her not reading it as a softclaim ect. comes across as fake, I didn't make anything from those comments at all.

I think if it''s a Fonti-Waco scum team she has to double down on him, when scum get down to 1 scum in this setup this early on when there's zero dead townies there's no way back for them. I also think she wouldn't consider him a 'weak partner' at game start.

I don't think that's a bad vote at all. Imma stick with my scum read for now though and if it is Miner/Waco/Fonti or Miner/Waco/Fluff I get a big prize at endgame (The earlier for being my first actual scum-team guess and the latter for being my first three scum reads in general).

I know him from DM, we sometimes scumhunt together while watching games that are going on, every time I've trusted one of his reads and replaced my own with it he's burnt me! DLGN couldn't spot mafia even if there's 2 people left in the game, one was scum and the other was him, plz ban.

In all seriousness though I'm pretty certain killing both Waco/Math kills one scum and with Miner being confirmed scum and there being a half dozen players I'd bank on being town I think this game is a fairly certain win.

i would switch ross and rachel most of the time .. but sure that is the easy part .. but recasting means .. who is who in this game.

Those wagons are much less spicy than Miner's wagon. This does not please me.

---------- Post automerged at 10:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:56 AM ----------

This is one of those situations where everything about Math's play makes me want to kill them, but the way that the game is unfolding keeps countering that.

This also does not please me.

i switched from fonti because i am a merciful man.

if you want to go hard in the paint somewhere .. go and plant a flag .. maybe sell some cookies .. people might come.

What would be a spicy and promising wagon for you?

Leaving for a foodrun in a minute .. will be back soonish.

I mean, I'm fine with Math/Fluff/Waco, and fonti doesn't send me into paroxysms of rage or anything, it's just the compositions of those wagons so far. Snow is on fonti, who I don't want yet, at least not before trawling through the thread some, Waco is on Math, and Math is on Waco.

I just liked it better when we had all the towns on Miner, it was a way prettier wagon.

But there are 2.5ish days left, so ehh. Hope springs eternal.

But yeah, I'm about to start doing reread of people I need to solve. I'll be reading, but it may be a while before I get back to you guys. No worries, I'll come back bearing another scum.

Regfan I saw your massive post and I'm not ignoring it, promise. I'm rereading you first on my list of scheduled rereads to shake off any paranoia worlds where you're leading us off a fucking cliff.

Once I've dismissed that (assuming I dismiss that) I'm down to bounce ideas all you want.

---------- Post automerged at 11:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:19 AM ----------
Koalas why are you abstaining tho? Throw down that sweet, sweet double vote.

---------- Post automerged at 11:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:37 AM ----------

Would also be nice if Jarizok would put down a hot vote for us.

I mean, Kai and fluff too, but I fear that might be expecting far too much.
