Ok I'm rereading and had like 4 quotes lined up to explain my rubicon scumread but he improved a lot as d1 progressed. It mainly had to do with his Jan interactions because I townread jan and thought his vaimes read was the best of the game:

So as a result of this I scumread Rubicon.

Also Rubicon had quite a few interactions with von. Some are kinda awkward:

but perhaps more so on von's end than rubicon's.

Eventually Rubicon made some natural posts w/r/t von and von replied at length to him in a way that seemed more to a town than to a partner, imo:

So I think I am removing Rubicon as a scumread, ftr.

Cool. I saw some very high effort looking posts from you so I read you town without really taking the accuracy or direction of your posts into account. Was just curious because I thought you'd be more comfortable with your grasp on the game but I see how you could have lost some confidence.

I thought this was one example of a towny quiddity post btw. Wanting to address a weird world with a town to get them back on track is not something I see a mafia doing. They'd probably let the wrong town flounder and be wrong OR take the von approach and just call her towny but not really save her or cause anybody else to reconsider.

I remember quiddity had some longer posts that showed his thought process in more detail and it seemed a lot more genuine than last game but I haven't come across it on reread yet. Will post if I see it but quiddity isn't really under fire rn so not a priority (but this does at least counter Waco's scumread of quiddity and kind of tip the balance negatively in his favor, still)

    ---------- Post automerged at 20:42 ---------- Previous post was at 20:39 ----------

I'd lynch Waco and Fluff rn but I kind of agree with Rubicon's assessment of Fluff that there's a bit more to his posts than in the last game. But I have seen some things that give me a bit of pause so I am far from having him as a solid town. Think I prefer waco today but still reading and hopefully can address waco and get feedback from others on it, including him.

Oh this is kinda funny. I scumread this post on first readthrough too because I thought it was scum rubicon kinda frustrated that nobody was really taking his Von read/vote seriously and kinda complaining that there were town votes with him but they were just RVS votes that would go elsewhere.

Knowing now that von was mafia, this post seems significantly more towny.

I also scumread this post a lot ftr. I thought the zen post in reference was really bizarre to have come from scum, and felt like rubicon reading it as artificial seemed kinda forced tbh. And the admission of the bravado of it at least being kinda good/towny almost read as like... frustrated acceptance that a town did something kinda silly and was going to look towny for it.

I don't have any experience with zen and so I can't really evaluate the rubicon/zen history and meta that went into this read but I could see it as town rubicon being kinda nonplussed about a stunt someone was pulling on d1, too.

(This is mainly for rubicon to get a better read on me btw. I know I came out pretty hard against him but hopefully now he can kinda understand why in retrospect. Sorry I didn't have time to really flesh this out d1.)

I'm annoyed that I have to do this:
    Rubicon's probably town.
    Miner's probably town.

    Dlgn might be town.

Directly after Rubicon votes for Von:
    Q is town.

    Fluff is mafia.

Tom: A lot of pockety things I don't care to quote.
    Tom might be mafia.

    Bored now.

Rubicon, Miner and Zenzao are always town. Fluff is probably just mafia. If he flips town, lynch tom next for being a pockety, Zenzao hiding behind, von supporter. Q is town because he would never, ever, be that obviously chainsaw defending a partner. Dlgn and Waco would be my last two lynches, Waco first, but I don't think either are mafia.

    Have fun.

    Hey fonti.

I'm not voting fluff. Fluff isn't dying right now. That enough?

Dude, that is scummy as fuck from my past experience. Giving anyone a bye on their alignment just because they're putting in effort which you then proceed not to process? Not even fact-checking against your own reads to that point to see if they're lying about anything?

I want to vote you for this so fucking hard. But diminishing the count on HF when I'm not sold on Waco and also want to reduce the odds of flashwagoning as we approach the last hourish ahead is holding me back.

I see you're looking at Rubicon off and on as town/scum. When you have a chance, take a glance through my opening post toDay on page 60 and see if you agree/disagree on any of the points regarding Vaimes/Rubicon.

    Dude.

I don't think Waco is mafia. He feels genuine to me. Meanwhile, Fluff softly defended Von all of Day 1, tried to tie him with me by townreading us in the same way, turned that into a "well, there's mafia between von and fonti" when I explained why von was mafia. At this time, most people were saying I was town and von might be mafia. Fluff then tried to push a lynch through on me, and, when the choice was von or rubicon, switched to Rubicon. If fluff was town, he would have voted for von there, because he would have wanted to see the dichotomy between me and von solved. Even if he strongly believed I was the scummier between us, he would have been preferred the Von lynch over the Rubicon one, because it would have helped with gamesolving and it was obvious that Rubicon was not with me.

Alright, thank you, Fonti. You've weaned some of my paranoia surrounding you. I'm feeling better about an HF lynch.

I think Von expected town!Cobalt to go for him, and tried to cover his ass in advance. This makes Dlgn more likely town, Zenzao.

Von mixed up Zen and Owner. Zen is always town.
