Even though I was using Jon's tutorial, I still had a hard time feeling my way around Photoshop. In the end, I say it was a decent outcome.

I came up with this after a few hours.

After showing that on IRC, Jon made a few adjustments.

    Thanks for the help, Jon.

What did you do except from the layers and text?

I'm not sure how to answer your question. The sig there was mostly my creation. I simply followed instructions.

Just curious but is the text soft lighted? What about the guy?

There's a linear burn on the text. That was all Jon's doing.

On the render, I think I used hard light on one layer, then used some other lighting on another.

I don't quite remember because I saved the file as a Jpeg, not PSD.

Made a new sig. This time the theme is TF2.

After that appalling attempt last night with the Spider-man sig challenge, I wanted to redeem myself. I thus took another render and followed Jon's tutorial. I'd say it is a far better attempt.

I was getting tired of my current wallpaper so I went and made my own.

    Here's the work scaled down.
