I'm currently reading through the 9th volume of this fine manga and I was curious if you folks know any interesting stories based in this universe?

Well, that's disappointing.

 

Pretty much your usual B-grade attempts at romance. Yaoi incest covers most of it (but then, who was surprised at that).

I did only try it last when I finished the anime years ago, so there may be a few decent ones that could have popped up in that time.

Was the manga any different to the anime? I felt like the anime had potential in the first episode, but after that it just fell into being a stereotypical meh shounen after that.

 

The manga pulls off some decent horror scenes every now and then (for a Shounen), but it doesn't live up to its potential. It's dragged down not only by its typical Shounen bullshit, but by high school anime tropes as well. I wouldn't reccomend reading it unless you've got time to waste and no other options.
