When will we learn whether we are judging or not? I'd like to start writing if I'm not gonna be judging.

Yeah, this. I've actually got an idea for a submission if I'm not gonna be a judge.

 

Write it anyway. You can always submit to WbA regardless of the contest. The whole point of the contest was to provoke more writing so...

 

I was planning on doing so, but it was a choice between starting now and starting in a week =P

Given that only a week remains in April, is there any indication of what the May category is going to be?

 

I have a fear the April contest may not have that many entries for it. That said, if a judge is needed, I'll volunteer.

 

I will be submitting a story, finally. It won't be done, but it is still 20k words of mediocrity and cheap laughs. Who knows, I still got 6 more days to add some more, or chicken out and not post it. Either way, DLP will have a new HP/FD story to add to the collection.

Disturbing lack of faith is disturbing, but the judging and the contest in general seem to be heading toward an unavoidable fail.

 

I'm sure they'll work something out... if nothing else, they could always skip May to fix the timeline.
