Bob from the prolific and celebrated Bobmin team has died. While perhaps not the most popular writer among those on the forum, he was nevertheless an influential icon from the heyday of the fandom. The world is a bit less magical today with his passing.

I'm sad to hear that. Bobmin's stories, Sunset over Britain and Sunrise over Britain, were some of the first HPFF I ever read. I have fond memories of those stories, even a desire to go and reread them now. Possibly not the best idea though.

    RIP.

Always sad to hear something like this. I read more than a few of Bobmin's fics back in the day, and while I've mostly forgotten them now I remember enjoying them. RIP Bobmin.

I enjoyed his stories before I has seen the concepts done a thousand times. I do miss the days when I could find a story I liked so easily. Condolences to his wife/partner/something.

This is really sad, I'm a little choked up right now to be honest. Bobmin's stories really had a big impact on me when I first started reading fanfiction, and even though now I feel I've outgrown them a bit I still hold a fond place in my heart for those works.

I hope his next great adventure treats him well. Rest easy, Bob.

Wow...I remember reading his fics years ago, thoroughly enjoyed them at the time. RIP Bob.

While looking on various file sharing sites for an early release Harry Potter book, I stumbled across one of Bobmin's works. It took me a few pages to realize that it was not a JK book, at the time I didn't even know about the Fanfiction world. It took a few more pages to realize I didn't care and kept reading. Since then I have spent way too many hours reading FF. So thanks Bob and I hope your passing was peaceful.

Whoa, Sunset+Sunrise was over a million words in total. That's more words than I've read from any single other fanfic author, and only barely less than the total of the actual books. RIP Bob.

Bobmin was the first author that I followed religiously, so even though I've long since stopped following their works, feels like something has definitely been lost. RIP Bob, and best of wishes to his partner in writing (and life in general I think).

2016 must be the year of the scythe or something. :(

I have a feeling Bob was a pleasant part of many people's fan fiction memories, at least in the HP fandom; and among those of us who have been part of it for many years, his name was certainly well recognized.

Hopefully he's someplace where you can write your own story.
