Entirely your fault for clicking on the thread that exists to discuss spoilers.

Jon do you accept personal donations (not bribes, donations!) for little things in here... like 3 day bans to everyone who bought the book early?

    Willing to negotiate the price...

Ugh, does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could buy this book in Melbourne? I'm at that stage of impatience now since I just realized that Kindle won't delivery my copy until the 30th...

I don't know any of the book store chains in this country yet. :(

Try a chain of bookstores called Abbey's Bookshop - they have a sci-fi/fantasy/gameworld specialist subsidiary called Galaxy Bookshop that usually has the entire Dresden Files on shelf, and just about every other sci-fi fantasy book around.

Check their online catalogue first though - might not have it in stock yet

Yeah, every online catalogue I've found so far just says that it's on the way. :(

I'd suggest waiting until your Kindle version arrives. This happens to me with every JB book release.. actually scratch that, with any book release. Most book stores take up to two months to get the books in store, and the larger ones like Collins, QBD, will ship to you from their online stores, but that will take up to 15 business days.

If you want a physical copy order it from Book Depository or from Amazon (using a mail forwarding service). You'll pay less for both of the above options, and will receive the book quicker than waiting for local stores.

Well... there is a chance some of the smaller book stores may have the book in already, but I've never been able to find a copy locally within the first two months of release.

Since you'll be getting the ebook version on the 30th, it's probably best to just wait.

edit: Actually not all book releases. The Wheel of Time gets stocked almost immediately. And the more popular books usually get on shelf pretty quick.

I hate my local bookshop. They're not yet selling Cold Days cause they haven't set a price on the book yet. Stupid! It's release date already. I should have just pre-ordered online.

Went to Wal-Mart because it's the only place that sells books that's open at midnight. They have to wait for the vendors to come put the freaking books on the shelves. So much for getting my book nine hours early.

So, I pre-ordered the Kindle version from Amazon, which is purportedly available on the 27th... except it says they're still processing it. Anyone know what time they usually release these things?

I have Cold Days in my hands, even if my local store only got it delivered the afternoon of release day.

    I'll be in my bunk.

My pre-order should be arriving on the 30th. If anyone spoils this for me I'm going to murder them.

Damn this delay on eBook versions (Kindle and Google Play) is annoying! I got all excited, now I have to wait for 2 days. =(

If anybody seems to be having trouble getting their copy delivered on time, it seems there might be a spare one or two on the forecastle and poopdeck. But only very recently.

What? I got the kindle version off Amazon about three hours ago without an issue. Weird.

Swear to God, I popped a boner when I got my hands on the book.
