Basically Puppey is a really angry and shady person.

Secret is a every shady organisation because they took 10% of player prizes without mentioning it to anyone. None of the players were ever paid a salary and some weren't even paid their portion of prize pool. Their sponsors never even paid them.

Also, for some reason they brought a porn star, drones and the CSGO girls to TI.

Here's Eternalenvy's blog. I haven't read the whole thing so I grabbed this off of reddit:

    Tl;Dr:
-Secret took a 10% pay cut from players, unbenounced to them. Players were told there was a 0% cut from winnings, but 10% was secretly taken. Only pup knew about it and agreed to it.
    -There was no player salary.
-Secret took 50% of money received from Panda TV. However, the Panda TV deal fell apart because Puppey did not fulfil his streaming obligations of 30 hours per month. Panda TV apparently offered EE 500K USD to stream. But he wouldn't take the deal unless other team mates also got that deal. The deal was later changed to 1 million USD + 250k from donations.
-The money taken from players was supposedly to pay for the manager. So Matt was paid 200k from his work.
-Other sponsors did not pay anything to players. Instead Kermal claims sponsor money paid for expenses.
-Salary was supposed to be 12-15k USD a month.
-Puppey is apparently a jackass and very lazy. Does not try to play. Universe left Secret because Puppey was so lazy. QUOTE: "This is the first point where I actually really start disliking Puppey. Eventually the lies get to you. I don’t mind him having a tyrant on the team if he at least does what he promises to do. But when he's so lazy and lies about everything only for him to spew lines like “When I talk, you listen to me.” is actually so disgusting."
-Puppey got physical with W33ha and bullied him through his career in secret.

There was also a blog a couple months ago about how Secret hadn't paid former players tournament winnings. That's coming up again cause Envy had similar problems.

Misery also wrote a blog, its a bit shorter.

My opinion of Puppey has done a pretty quick 180 over this. It's a pity because he used to be so good, but he seems to be cashing in on past glory at this stage.

Certainly explains Secret's questionable record lately.

    Anyone following Boston?

EG lost 2 BO3 series to CoL. LFY looking shitty as expected from results, but not expected from the lineup with xiao8, Yao and Super. WG.Unity is looking amazingly strong, first time that Wings lost a series against a team in a while I think (my bad, they lost 3-0 to VP). Everything else is about as expected. DC looks stronger (much stronger) than they did at the Summit.

Since this is a single elimination tourney, there will likely be more upsets. For example, EG vs Wings in the first round. Probably EG going home 13-16 or even more shocking, Wings going home 13-16.

OG looks solid, but that whole group is absurd. Each series was a 2-1.

I think VP looks super strong and will likely win the whole thing. Absurd plays by Lil and No[o]ne and Ramzes. God they're just so good. Such fast and aggressive play from heroes that shouldn't be that good.

If someone sees this in any reasonable amount of time, what are your predictions?

    1: VP
    2: LGD
    3/4: OG and DC

I preedicted Wings #1, but VP looks the most dominant by far.

I think it's a little too difficult to call. I feel Wings generally doesn't take group stages too seriously so they could still just walk through the tournament. I think it was noone that said he didn't feel as though Wings was actually trying to win against them at the Summit and to a degree I can see it.

I think EG is awful tbh. The only consistent thing to every EG top 3 finish was the fact that they had ppd and Universe. Everyone else is replaceable and right now they don't have ppd. So, seeing as they are also against Wings, I think EG is out first round. Granted, Wings can still just draft Techies one game and then lose another game very easily.

Generally, I find that the winners of Valve events are teams that everyone considers good but have been slumping a little before the tournament or are just not good enough to be considered top 3. So, I think VP won't win if only because they won the first Summit pretty easily.

I think the semi finals will be OG v Wings or VP leaning towards Wings for the top half and the bottom half will be DC v Newbee or LGD.

NP seems to have figured out the key to beat EHOME at least.

EG pull a rabbit out of a hat and own Wings. Seems like after winning TI6, they kinda got casual. It might also be that they had a huge target on their back. No doubt that EG is one of the stronger teams regarding strategy and prep with the evil genius backing them up.

Nothing surprising with OG, easy sweep of MVP. Same goes for VP.

Only reasonable surprise was WG.U take out CoL. I honestly thought that they looked really good, but I'm guessing that LAN pressure killed them and the single elimination set up.

LFY winning over LGD was expected even though LGD is the stronger team. The old guard of chinese dota is too strong to just leave the scene. Might have been some shady deals, definitely some questionable plays from LGD.
    • Allowing bat (revealed in vision) to get 8 stacks of napalm
    • Taking fights repeatedly while trying to push despite no item progression
    • Questionable draft

Overall, I think it basically comes down to VP or OG. Whoever takes that match should probably win the tournament.

Game 3 in the finals was amazing and worth watching if you didn't catch it live.

    7.00 is blowing my mind.

    Game 3 was indeed hype.

OG is really good and I love the whole team chemistry.

Dude, Monkey King is fun. Just tree hop around the place, hit people hard and jump away. The mischief thing is super gimmicky though.
