New DLC isn't long, took me less than an hour, but does have some new items & info.

Got King Maric's Sword, Duncan's sword & dagger, and Cailan's armor. More interesting than those are Cailan's letters (or whatever they're called). One of them is Orlesian Empress promising help with the Blight, the other is Arl Eamon suggesting Cailan find someone else to give him an heir (no luck with Amora, apparently), the third implies Cailan and Orlesian Empress were gonna get it on.

I wonder if you can get help from Orlais, if you've done this early enough.

And the issue with specialization classes not working b/c of the new DLC sucks.

    Here's a quick question;

I remember MidKnight mentioning that he told his companions he was a Blood Mage and subsequently got his face beaten in. When does that happen?

EDIT: Thought the spoiler bracket was appropriate.

Anytime they ask about it, after a demon encounter, after meeting a blood mage, basically if you tell most of them anything other than blood magic is teh evil, they assume you've gone insane with dark magic and proceed to smash your face in. Basically if you use it in front of them your ok, but if they ask about it deny, deny, deny.

Bump. Just so you know, Return to Ostagar has been released on all platforms and the specialization bug on Xbox has been fixed.

If you're talking about after you kill that .. blob thing, there is a "door" in the lair some where near the back.

Or if it's right after you killed the queen spider there should be an exit somewhere back behind the journal as well.

Do I need to have the dwarf in my party as well?

Nah no need for a dwarf until you confront Branka, even then it'll be automatically in your team. Once you kill the Queen spider read the journal then move to the north east of that particular section of map, there'll be a small walkway that will lead you to dead trenches.

Oh, okay... BTW, any other way to become a Reaver? I have already clear the quest Urn of the Sacred Ashes.

Nope, that's the only way to do it, but once it's unlocked for one character it's unlocked for them all. If you've got an old save you could run through it and unlock it.

Or you could always use the console - 'runscript addtalent 4029' should do it. And there's probably mods all over the place that'd unlock it for you.

Has anyone played awakening yet? I just installed it on my laptop but it's running ridiculously slow.

Kinda hard to compare two entirely different genres, but if I had to choose I guess I would say... Borderlands if you have friends, Dragon Age if not.

Borderlands is fun, but the story's pretty much completely unmemorable. Dragon Age's combat is slightly less fun (if less repetitive, and that's a purely subjective judgement there), but the storyline is fucking wonderful.

And nothing in Borderlands gave me the FUCK YEAH feeling of some of the slo-mo kills in Dragon Age.

I have. Frankly I didn't like it too much. Too many bugs, and the plot...well...you should judge that for yourself. Let's just say the epilogue hinted that it wasn't the last of your hero.

Thanks. I ended up going for Borderlands + Mass Effect 2 as my games of choice with my bundle. I'm not really into the whole RPG thing.

    :p

Mass Effect 2 is an RPG. A damn good one at that.

And Borderlands' claim to fame is being an FPSRPG.

Just throwing out there that having a friend cry out in despair, "Why do heads keep blowing up before I can shoot people!?" when you're a Hunter is the best feeling in the world.
