It says a lot about this year's crop of games that the biggest buzz is about Skyrim getting remastered and adding mod support on consoles.

 

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord looks amazing. Best video I've seen so far.

Finally watched the Microsoft conference.

It was really good, it's just that - aside from XV - none of the games spoke to me.

Super excited about Scorpio. Not because I want one, but because I don't like receive, resting on their laurels Sony.

Microsoft needs to be firing shotgun blasts at them to keep them on their toes. These past few years with them meekly trying to catch up has been bad for console gaming.

Competition is great. Hopefully it lights a fire under Sony's ass.

 

I'm fairly certain they'll port it in a few years.

They pretty much leaked the entire xbox conference ahead of time, for reference.

For real. Ubisoft's conferences would be ungodly boring without her. Girl's got jokes so bad they're good.

Hearing about a new Spider-Man game makes me wish they'd made a sequel to Ultimate Spider-Man. Maybe it lacked a few cool things the other open-world Spidey games like Spider-Man 2 or Web of Darkness had, but I loved that game regardless.

 

Not even over and Sony wins E3 2016.

 

Goddamn, Sony is pretty much shitting all over everyone right now.

Though, I am not so happy about how they baited me into thinking that was a new Rogue Squadron.

 

Crash Bandicoot remastered. Mostly for introducing Crash to Skylander.

Horizon Zero Dawn looks amazing. They showed protag taming one of the animals and fighting some sort of bigger boss.

God of War. You are raising Kratos' kid so I assume later on you are the kid and killing Norse gods. Seemed RPG'ish

Detroit: Become Human (You are an android who has to work on cases. Case they showed was saving a little girl from an android and end of the case can be very different). It was a trailer, not really gameplay.

Call of duty infinite Warfare looking super sweet. They showed space combat and some zero gravity fire fights. Was gameplay.

New Spiderman game by Insomnia

New Kojima game Death Standing. Pretty much 0 indication of what kind of game it is tbh. Norman Reedus is in it. Literally made the character after him.

 

David Cage games always have huge problems - Heavy Rain is maybe one of the worst games I've played - but Detroit looked really fucking good. I really hope the conversation trees are nice and complex though, there's a danger of it being extremely stilted and limiting like in Bethesda games, but it has potential to be a great detective game.

I loved the Spiderman. Loved the Horizon stuff. Last Guardian gave me goosebumps. VR showing games I want to play...

But them making me care about God of War? What the actual fuck? I bet the kid's mum is a Valkyrie or something.

I felt so manipulated by the orchestra, lol. My heart was racing from the beginning.

Anyone with keener ears than my own, was Spiderman voiced by Tom Holland?

 

It looked... weird. If not just straight up bad. Probably the weakest point in the entire conference.
