Favorite weird/indie game that you could recommend to other people?

Personally my favorite "underground" game that I wish had more of a following is a game called "An Untitled Story" by Matt Thorson from MattMakesGames (it's a metroidvania style). It's a cute and simple game that has an evolving story line and amazing art style/soundtrack. I'm not sure why I love it, I just do.

Maybe I'm just fanboying a bit but I'd love to hear others' opinions: What are your favorite games that you wish other people knew about?

I don't know about you all, but there's this little known game called Minecraft.

It has a tiny community of very dedicated players. And, in my opinion, it's a pretty cool indie game that places you in a sandbox where you can build whatever you want out of blocks. I don't know how it will fare in the future, but I hope this tiny studio can find a way to survive because I think this will be the next big thing if it survives past alpha.

I'd throw my hat in for Faster Than Light.

It's neither particularly new nor that unheard of, but it's at least from an indie studio. It's a space adventure simulator with clear nods to choose your own adventure games.

I played it on IOS and found it absurdly addictive, not least because the port to touchscreen has terrifically intuitive controls.

Supergiant games considered indie? Coz I'd put Bastion and Transistor.

I suspect board games may be out of place in the thread, but the kickstarter-funded Scythe + expansions has become our game-night mainstay.

Gladius for the PS2. With the exception of a simplistic plot and one dumb secret boss, an extremely solid game with great replay value.

(If you go to the NEO Scavenger page, skip the first video, it's moronic.)

Other than that, Transistor and the Shadowrun series, but they're more well known.
