Actually, I think I've recently read in a Gamestar that Piranha Bytes is working on a new game (unfortunately not Gothic). Far as the article went, Elex is a post-apocalyptic mix of science fiction and fantasy. I'm not clear on the details, but a guy from the developer team said in an interview that they went this way because you can only design so many medieval-looking items without becoming completely bored and disenchanted by the process. That at least is an attitude I can understand, and if it enables them to stretch out their creativity a bit, then I'm more than willing to give them a chance. Always had the feeling that, even though G3 wasn't bad, it went downhill for PB after G2. Maybe a change of scenery will revitalize them, because that much is clear: if they want to, they can create one hell of an atmospheric world.
