    I liked both these stories. I really like the show and wanted a good cross, so I went over and read some but they were all very pathetic. This one is a rare gem.

    The two verses are mixed with the minimum of fuss. It's not like Alucard is out adopting Harry and killing the Dursleys in righteous revenge or some such nonsense, or that Integra is Harry's long lost cousin/sister/aunt/whatever.

    Alucard's characterization is plain sweet. His scenes with Harry are the best.

    Harry by himself at Hogwarts is alright but not too entertaining. That's why a 4/5.

    Van helsing the film was, well pretty awful.

    It had good moments, and there were times where it worked, but some bits were just.... uhhh. especially the ending.

    So... Beckinsale's character survives being thrown into walls, off castles, crashing through rotting floorboards to fall maybe 10 metres, but dies when he crashes her into a couch!!!!!

    That's not an ending, that's an anti-climax.

    Also, the final scene, on the cliffs where he buries her, with her face appearing in the sky?? What the hell was that about!

    Anyway, just my opinion

    I thought this story was excellent. I liked the "Master" diggs. Alucard mistaking the effects of the "compulsion". Oh, I do agree that it could have been fleshed out more, but at least it did not bury you in minutia.

    I liked this until Harry went to Hogwarts. It got really boring after he arrived and started serving Dumbledore.

    Also, Dumbledore as Harry's master is just a disaster. (Oh hey, that rhymed.)
