I'm currently torn between finding this rather funny, and absolutely disgusting.

I do not dispute these people's right to mock, what I do dispute is the right of people to put pictures that vomit-inducing on public parts of the internet. Why?

That first one was pretty sick, wasn't it? Regardless, if we have furries, slash fans, and H/G fans all posting fanart and shit online, they have the right to be mocked in all their glory, imho.

Lmfao... and this is why, whenever my friends tell me to make a Myspace account, I decline all the time.

Hey, don't hate on the furries... They're actually a pretty alright (if somewhat screwed up) community. Besides, what could possibly be more erotic than a giraffe making love to a muskrat?

    *snickers*

But seriously, the furs at least are tolerable, unlike the vast majority of the idiot goths and emo's.

But yeah, those people have no right to post those pictures on the net. It's bad enough that we have to see people like them in the real world.

I registered for the Hater forums :)

I've got one myself, but it's mostly full of friends I actually know, with a few bands tossed in for variety. But I agree that people take Myspace too seriously. It's just a place to meet and hook up with other people who share the same interests as you, not a place to fucking live on.

That added absolutely nothing to this thread. Comment on the original topic as well, or don't post in its thread.

I hate MySpace -- it pisses me off to no end. People (usually 14-16 year old girls) get addicted to that shit and spend years checking their messages from other people (14-16 year old girls and 40+ year old year old Pedophiles).

And of course it has an Emo subculture (but what place doesn't besides here these days).

Overall MySpace, George Bush, and Emo People are my cynical reasons for supporting Abortion these days.

    ...

I didn't find that funny at all. For someone complaining about people who waste time on the internet, the guy/girl is a fucking hypocrite.

I don't use Myspace...but I know what sort of trash is on that site. So I don't go looking for things to make fun of. Obviously, this person took the time to find these pictures, write 'funny' comments about them and post them on the Internet.

...which is exactly what the Myspace folk are doing as well.

Well I've been a member for around six months. I have come across the occasional sicko, friending me so I can watch them on webcam or wanting me to look at their naked pictures, but for the most part I only friend people that I know or that live in New York so that i can get to know them.

It's rather useful, in my opinion. Especially for bands. I've discovered a lot of bands on the site that I've come to like, and I have friends in bands who made a MySpace page and as a result expanded their fanbase way faster.

I got in touch with lots of friends that I haven't seen in years, just by looking them up on the thing. Though, I will admit that I do spend more time than I'd like checking my messages, like you said Giovanni...that's not good. =/
