Greetings, all. To those who don't know, this is a thread for a new Play By Post Pathfinder game I'm running here on DLP. Only the following are to post in here.

    Vesvius (DM)
    Dellez (Dominic)
    Typhon (Hadzan)
    ChaosGuy (Kevdak)
    Wildfeather (Lexgud)
    Vir (Marcinus)
    Brukel (Roland)
    Lexicat (Ruby)
    Custer (Zadok)

To all players. Make sure to post in character. Any actions you'd like to do, please put in
    SPOILER TAGS
, as well as describe them. Throw any out of character comments you have in the spoiler tags too.

EDIT: A new turn order has been established due to some problems over day one.

Everyone can post in character to talk, or make passive checks (Perception, Sense Motive, etc.) as many times as they want. But as far as hardcore actions, actions that actually affect the scene, NPCs, and others, I'm limiting it to one per hour, or you can go again after everyone else has gone. Actions will be resolved in the order they are announced.

Hopefully, that should stop people from not being able to play due to others taking their turns. If anyone has any suggestions, PM me or hit me up in IRC.

Now, with that out of the way....

Welcome to the Way of the Wicked

In the kingdom of Talingarde, many crimes may send you to Branderscar Prison, but the sentence has but one meaning. You are wicked and irredeemable. Each of you received the same greeting when you arrived. You were held down by rough hands and branded upon the arm with a runic F. The mark signifies ‘forsaken’ and the painful scar is indelible proof that each of you has betrayed the great and eternal love of Mitra and his chosen mortal vassals.

Condemned, you face at best a life of shackles and servitude in the nearby salt mines. Others might await the “gentle” ministrations of the inquisitors so that co-conspirators may be revealed and confessions extracted. Perhaps, some of you will be spared this ordeal. Perhaps instead you have come to Branderscar to face the final judgment. In three days, the executioner arrives and the axe falls or the pyre will be lit. Through fire or steel, your crimes will be answered.

You have all been chained together in the same communal cell dressed in nothing but filthy, tattered rags. Manhandled and mistreated, any finery you once possessed is either ruined or long lost. No special treatment has been given any prisoner – male or female, commoner or noble – all of the forsaken are bound and imprisoned together. Your feet are secured by iron cuffs tethered by one long chain. Your arms are secured to the wall above by manacles. A guard is posted right outside the cell day and night. Little thought is given to long term accommodations. At Branderscar, justice comes swift and sure.

Escape seems hopeless. You have all been well searched and every attempt to conceal anything on your person has failed. And if you could somehow slip your bonds and fly out of this prison, where would you go? Who from your former life would want anything to do with the forsaken? Despised, alone and shackled – all that you can do now is await your doom.

For each of you, your old life is over. For each of you, hope is a fading memory. For each of you, justice will be fairly meted. And who can blame fair Talingarde after what each of you has done?

    All Players
This early part is for us to get used to the system. I'm going to be putting a lot in these tags for convenience's sake. If your name is on the tag, read whats inside. If it's not, skip it for right now. Your fellow PCs might want to do something diabolical with the info in here.

We're working on the honor system here now. Let's keep this a good, clean, evil game. Now get posting! Talk amongst yourselves or something!

Yes.Your hands are suspended over your head. You'll need to free them to be able to cast anything.

Marcinus shook his shaggy brown hair out of his eyes and glanced as his companions.

"I don't suppose any of you happen to have an easy way out of these bindings?"

Is it day/night? and what is the lighting situation?

    General Information
Through the heavily barred window in your cell, you can't see much. But you can assume it's night, or very early morning. Your cell is mostly dark. The only illumination is coming through the barred window in your cell door. It's a flickering light, presumably from a torch or two.

Ruby lets out a sigh and deftly blows the hair our of her eyes.

"Sweetie, if there was an easy way out, do you think any of us would still be here?"

"I think some real light in here would be helpful at least. Well..."

    In a quieter voice

"I might be able to use some acid on them, but yeah... need some light."

    Marcinus smiles in the dark.

"Perhaps a little light would be useful," he says ignoring the jibe at everyone's incompetence.

Cast: Light on the communal chain holding my feet

"I think I might have a way out, halfling."

I stare at the guard, attempting to discern if he carries the keys to our cells or shackles, as well as his general distance. I whisper to the group "I can Command him to come closer, if he has the keys, it'll be a quick escape."
If I guess the guard to be within 20 to 25 ft, I shout "Guard! I'd like to tell you of Asmodeus." A deep voice in my ear whispers a strange word in my ear, and I, with my supreme knowledge of the divine and their arts, know it means Command. I repeat it, and add "To me."

Command spell: Verbal components, will save to negate of DC 16, and I've chosen approach: for one round he will take the most direct route to me, but he can only move. http://paizo.com/prd/spells/command.html

Zadok growls as he surveys the room, taking in it's inhabitants and lone guard. He looks to the shackles on his feet, the long chain, and then the shackles binding his hands.

As the halfling pipes up, he grunts, "Do I look like a wizard to you? No, surely the only way out of here is through some sort of crafty trick. Best get to work on that, small one."

Dissatisfied, Zadok pulls with all his might against the handcuff holding his right arm, trying to snap by sheer strength the metal bonds holding him.

"Ah, my dear friend. Don't worry. There seems to be some casters amongst us. Personally, the light is all I can do. Inhereted it from my grandfather, you know. Belgin the Mighty, he was called. Was a powerful wizard. My mother didn't take after him, of course, she decided to go the way of the Divine after having me. I'm the black sheep of the family, of course, didn't take up the wizardly arts like the rest of 'em," Marcinus rambles on.

My character looks at Zadok as he struggles.

"You know that's going to draw attention. (He's using a low voice unless stated otherwise from now.)

"Point. Well then, might as well try it before I waste the magic on acidding these. Break away. If you succeed I might even take a try myself."
