I went with Ravenclaw. My first was Gryffindor, but my other two are Ravenclaw. Fuck my Gryffindor roots. :#

I got Ravenclaw, which I was okay with. I just didn't want to be in Gryffindor - I've already read seven books that were set in a Gryffindor perspective.

I would be surprised if there wasn't a vast majority of DLP in Ravenclaw and Slytherin over the other two houses, to be honest.

Warm, cozy, Hufflepuff, where dwell the jolly at heart!

I expected Ravenclaw, but Hufflepuff fits just as well. Slythering and Ravenclaw will probably have the majority here yeah.

Weird. I was just thinking of starting a thread with a poll for the hogwarts house distribution, heh. Still haven't got into the beta yet.

It's okay man, if we're the only two 'Puffs on this board, then so we shall be. Like bosses.

I'm Ravenclaw, which is what I always reckoned I would be. I was quite impressed with the sorting quiz. No real way to tell what answers would lead to what result.

I ended up with Slytherin. Not actually a good house for me, IMO, but I'm not unhappy with it for Pottermore. Here's the questions that I can still remember:

    1. How do you want to be remembered after you die: "doesn't matter - it's what people think while you're still alive."

This is probably why I got into Slytherin. I almost chose another option that went something like "sadly but with a smile."

    2. Left or right: Right

    3. Hear a strange noise in an alley. What do you do: "Hand near wand in pocket, proceed with caution"

    4. Which magical ability would you like: Ability to read people's minds. I rejected superstrength, and a bunch of others I can't remember.

    5. Three boxes in front of you, which do you open? I picked a black one with some sort of Merlin rune on it, I think.

    6. Rampaging troll in the headmaster's office, pick the order in which you would try to save three things. 1. Ancient tome with Merlin writings (or something). 2. Headmaster's research on Dragon Pox cure 3. School records.

I can't remember the rest of the questions I got.

Looks like I'm in minority here, because I'm in Gryffindor and I'm quite happy of it. Being in the same house with Harry Potter feels awesome.

If we won't get a majority for Slytherin, I'll be disappoint. Who the hell wants any other House?

So far, the distribution here is about what I'd expect it to be.

DLP: Home of Assholes, Nerds, Asshole Nerds, and Nerdy Assholes.

(edit) And that skewed distribution does mean something, since the overall site house distribution is basically even. I wonder how much they've had to tweak things to get it that even, though. Heck, if they were really clever they'd have some algorithm to dynamically tweak it automatically.

That interested me too - if DLP's results are skewed like expected, that means they aren't just chucking people in any old house to keep the balance.

So how do they do that? Just have the system give people a nudge to less populated houses if they're somewhat compatible with it?

How do you guys get sorted? The official Pottermore site says the same shit as a couple of months ago, namely nothing. It is a different site or something?
