I was going through the library when I saw a link at the top of the page that said "recommended stories" when I clicked the link I got a message that said:

Based off the 50 users most like you.
No recommendations found or you are not logged in.

I know I'm logged in so why would there be no recommendations found for me?

It is based on the thread votes you leave in the library. So you need to rate threads to get recommendations.

I don't know if there is a minimum number of votes you need to submit before it works.

 

I see thank you, now I know the importance of rating a thread. There is probably already a sticky that explains what I missed isn't there?

 

Hmm, I wonder if it could be altered not to link to WBA fics? Now that we don't allow rating them, most of my "recommended" are fics I've already read but am unable to remove from that list.

 

There is also another recommender using a different algorithm.
