...and I think that's pretty cool.

In honour of this day, what did you hate about it most?

The last two books pretty much confirmed that JK Rowling didn't possess the backbone or talent to write a story aimed at anyone above the age 13/

I would add James Sirius and Lily Luna, to be honest, but they are only minor offenses in light of that atrocity.
Also, the fact that the epilogue gave so little information that she needed to give an interview about basically everything of import after the story.

That it wasn't the Wheel of Time...
    1. More elaborate descriptions of the characters.
    2. Less jibber-jabber from the author after the series is over.

Well, there's a particular reason Robert Jordan wasn't giving many interviews after the series was over...

    You don't say...

Well, some authors get tired of the public life and decide their privacy is of grave importance.

That he had children with Ginny, and not his true love, the Ice Queen, Daphne.

Daphne is too good for that pathetic epilogue. Don't you dare trash her good name!

Already been said, but the naming thing. How about just naming your kid something that you like. Naming them after your friend (Luna) is just fucking creepy and besides, if we want to be realistic Hermione is a much better friend to both Ginny and Harry and it should be Lily Hermione Potter.

Movie: That everyone in the movie looked so fucking old, given that wizards are supposed to age slower. I guess the excuse is that they went on too many adventures and used up too much of their 'magical core' so it had a detrimental effect on their physical self.

Book: Malfoys lived and aren't in Azkaban.

Naming children after friends and family is pretty common, actually. I was named after my great grandfather, my middle names are after my father and great grandfather. Even in something like Game of Thrones, Ned's kids are Jon(Arryn), Robb(ert Baratheon), Brandon(after his brother), Rickon(after his father). Arya and Sansa

Agreed that it's strange that Luna was chosen over Hermione though. It'd be one thing if Luna had died, perhaps, but without that it seems an odd choice. Albus Severus is its own undefendable disaster though.

Lucius Malfoy not being in Azkaban is what pretty much made me believe JK is a unintelligent.

I could totally understand Narcissa being free, and even Draco only spending a few years.

But Lucius is the Osama Bin Laden of Wizarding Britain.

The idea that he would be walking free...

Can you imagine Bin Laden walking around in the USA free in 2007 because he blabbed?

I share a middle name with my father, my nephew has his paternal grandfather's name as a middle name, and my niece has our surname as a middle name (which is probably the only way that name will get passed on, given that my father's several brothers all had girls, and my brother and I likely aren't destined to extend the family legacy).

    After HBP?
Given that he named his second son after two of his biggest abusers, I'm betting he was saving "Hermione" for if he had a second daughter. How does "Hermione Petunia" sound? "Petunia Hermione?" "Hermione Bellatrix?"
    Oh! "Hermione Bella-doloré-tunia Potter!"

Especially considering you have to hiss in order to clearly enunciate both names and avoid saying "Albus-Everus."

"Albussss, Severussss..." Voldemort whispered to the dolls in his spidery hands as he brought them together. "Now, kissssssss."

Okay, that was pretty indefensible in its own way. But I do not apologize.

Even though it's a completely idiotic move for Harry to name his son after Snape of all people, I always wondered why people insist on calling Harry's kids by both their first and middle name.

I mean, I know it's a small thing, but why always call him Albus Severus instead of Albus? That's like calling his father Harry James all the time.

"Hey Harry James, how's your day going?"

"Fine, Ronald Bilius, wanna play some chess?"

"I can't, Hermione Jean is gonna help me with homework."

That it provided the basis for Cursed Child. While I'm sure an eighth story would have come along anyway, who knows what it would have been like without the epilogue to start from?

My least favorite thing about the epilogue is that it exists. Every part of it was awful.

I would have preferred an epilogue not so centered on just Harry and his extended family. It seems all too perfect.

Like it's all a dream, and Harry will wake up to find himself back under Madam Pompfrey's care after the Philosopher's Stone incident.

You know, someone should write a story about that.
