The Chronicles of Narnia

 

Harry Potter, lonely orphan boy, gets locked into the cupboard at night - but on his eleventh birthday he discovers that in the back of it, a little door opens to somewhere else. He finds himself in a mystical land covered in ice, where he runs into Firenze the centaur, who quickly brings him inside...

It turns out this other world, populated by magical creatures and wizards alike, is under threat by a great evil - a being which must not be named, whose very presence spreads a winter chill. Firenze claims that Harry is a wizard, one that was foretold in a prophecy would one day come to rescue the world from the spirit of darkness.

First, though, Harry must rescue other would-be wizards, three children like himself, who have been trapped within Hogwarts castle, the very keep over which He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named holds sway...

(Also, it turns out that Harry is Jesus, because compounding these fandoms into one would turn blatant allegories into just straight up references.)
