Actually, they said he was eleven when his mom was killed and he moved in with Joe. I'm not partial to either Iris or Caitlin, I'm just staying for accuracy's sake.

Show is awesome. Not a big fan of Iris though.

Oh I know you weren't serious about it but it's being said all over the interwebs lately anyway, hence my reference. Because, y'know, people are morons.

EDIT: I should clarify. Tumblr people. I'm talking about Tumblr people.

The thing I hope they stop is the childhood flashbacks. It seems theyre going to use this is a "Barrys lesson for the episode" in the same way Arrow uses it to tie the past/future similarities together.

I agree, insofar as it's a super duper cliche. However, you aren't going to have a superhero tv show with out some major cliches and the childhood flashbacks/ptsd is a big one that moves the story forward.

I roll my eyes everytime Flash/Arrow has another rooftop scene with their love interests. Its just too clichê at this point.

For once I would like them to meet someone new there. Someone they don't know beforehand. Hell give me romance that came from a rooftop meeting. I would like that too.

(But I'm very confused too. Poor cliffhanger for a mid-season finale)

I was thinking that the real reason why the Reverse Flash does the identity masking is not to hide the identity of the one who wears the suit, but to hide the fact that no one is in it.

    Poor cliffhanger? Uh not really.

The way I saw it Wells is the in present is currently building a RF suit. RF who beat him up is from the future and either him or Eddie's descendant, I would say the latter as it would explain why he didnt kill Eddie.

Time travel. There's some precedent for it from the comics, iirc.

"We've been at this a long time, Barry."

I think even the death of Barry's mother is evidence of time travel. If the only metahumans we know of were caused by the particle accelerator exploding, how the hell did Reverse Flash get Mrs. Allen decades ago?

(And, of course, Wells' obvious future room)

Time-travel is the bread and butter of the Flash mythos.

I liked the episode for the single purpose of having more concrete progression that any five other episodes put together.

By poor cliffhanger this is what I mean. A good cliffhanger to me is "Oh wow! That just happened? I cannot wait to see what happens next!"

A bad cliffhanger is, "Oh wow! That just happened!?! Wait...what just happened?"

It's unclear and confusing. It might be my comic book influences coming in though. I know who certain characters are in the comics, so I cannot just take the scene at face value.

And that's why I learned years ago to take written and visual media as two separate entities with their own versions of canon. Otherwise, it was becoming impossible for me to enjoy the visual media.

I'm sorry for the necro, but this episode confirmed that Wells does have some powers of his own (though they seem to fail him sometimes).
